He isn't a lawyer. He started in the league as an intern and worked up from there. I doubt that the owners will fire him. They recently signed him on as Commissioner through 2019. Sorry, had him confused with Silver/NBA.

Finally flying home from my fourth country in four days. Then I leave for San Francisco Tuesday, take the red eye home on Friday and immediately leave for traverse city, come home Monday and immediately leave for Mexico City. Almost to platinum status already this year. I love those things.

RIP. That's creepy that the attorney knew the exact time and that it was peaceful. Was he there watching him sleep? It's what we do. THe time of death was likely from the Coroner, who gives the official declaration.

Sure. Let's have an impartial arbitrator make a ruling. It's becoming obvious that Goodell does not have problems making decisions, he has problems making the right decisions. He doesn't seem to understand the concept of using good judgment. Power going to his head??? Damn lawyers. That's it right there, from Ray Rice to Brady, his rulings have been inconsistent and more importantly wrong! He should have got out in front of this from day, starting with not trying to run this as a sting operation. And then #2, should have just said the league did not have the proper protocols in place to check the balls, let alone suspend a player and take away draft picks, to make any sort of ruling. Goodell is guilty of listening and gauging the public reaction, and then issuing a ruling. The fundamental flaw in this, is that he is listening to rival fanbases, as the pulse of the league. But what he doesn't take into account, is if he polled fans in Wisconsin about a suspension for Aaron Rodgers, or fans in Seattle about Russell Wilson, the results would be accross the board NO! You have NY Jets fans in New York, dying to take Brady and Patriots out, what does he think they will want to see? As to your last paragraph, I think the opposite is true. He reaches a decision, issues his edict, and then listens to the public reaction and is forced to reverse, revise or amend what he has done.

Roger Goodell must be a Hydra agent hired by Adam Silver to infiltrate the NFL and destroy it from within. It's the only logical explanation. It's the Legion of Doom. Betteman, Goodell, and Silver. They have brought all the fun of corporate America to sports. That is, chasing dollars has taken priority over the actual product. See also Nascar. The only question now is how long before they start offshoring the jobs.

I had to return the first one because it started rusting the first time it rained. It's insulated aluminum instead of clay (and weighs about 100lbs less). Naturally, it doesn't achieve and maintain temp as well. It takes me about 45mins of fucking with dampers to get the right temp and then, bc it's not insulated as well- it doesn't hold that temp as long. I've still made some awesome ribs and brisket on it. I tried doing a ham though and couldn't keep the temp around 250 (kept dropping below 200) and it took about 4 hours longer than it should have to cook and ended up tasting like a camp fire Good to know. Thanks for the heads up. I've read a bunch of good things about BGEs. They are supposed to be awesome grills. For as much as "we" (me) cook out (4-5 nights per week year round), a really nice grill is in order. My current grill is 6-7 years old and really showing its age.

Sweet... PM me your credit card number and I'll get you some eye cream... .... As for the big green egg- don't do what I did and buy the Lowes Generic knock off version. Cost about $400 Instead of $800... And I fully understand where they cut costs. I will say that if you have one... The shit you cook on it will be amazing. However, it's a huge time commitment. So I would recommend having a small cheap gas grill for when you just want something quick and easy. Didn't know Lowes even made a knock-off. What's the difference as far as you noticed?

I'm thinking about a Big Green Egg. Supposed to be pretty nice and versatile. No propane seems like a huge commitment I never use propane. Lump charcoal (Oak or Mesquite) for the win.

Had the first phoned today and it went well. I'll have a face to face with the vp while in Dallas next week. Turns out that Texas would be part of my region Hoff... I'll expect an invite to the farm C'mon down. I'll throw a brisket on the smoker and ice down some Shiners. It'll be a good time. Might even throw in a pony ride.

I wouldn't get worked up about it, but losing a 5 star in bball like this is pretty brutal. Meh. Stuff happens.

Perhaps "didn't want him anyway" is in order? Nah, that would be arrogant. I tend not to get worked up about recruiting. You don't know what's going to happen. They can flame out, get injured, all kinds of stuff. Nice to have highly ranked recruits, but too many unknowns to get wrecked about it.

this whole thing is stupid. Fix the ball control situation. Dont let teams touch them once theyve been tested. Why the NFL/refs aren't providing and maintaining the footballs is beyond explanation.

This is the team that aquired Tank Johnson a few years back, after his troubles, and had Sam Hurd running drugs. Dez Bryant was arrested for domestic violence two or three years ago (? =/--before it became unpopular in NFL circles) -for beating his mother. Jerrah Jones doesn't care about character. As long as he can put butts in seats, and cash in the bank, the rest is irrelevant to him. ETA: Cowboys are also trying (or tried) to sign Adrian Peterson. So add that into the mix as well. How 'bout them Cowboys? I forgot to mention Josh Brent, the lineman that killed his roommate-a practice squad player-in a drunk driving/wreck. He was convicted of Intoxication Manslaughter and served time. He was reinstated/re-signed within days of his release from jail. The NFL suspended him for 10 weeks.

The Cowboys don't care if he killed her. They have Hardy and Gregory too. Quite a murderer's row. Too bad they missed on Frank Clark. 1. This is why they sell uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage-you can protect yourself against getting hit by someone with minimum/low limits or no insurance. 2. In many states, if you do not have insurance, and a judgment is entered against you for injuries or property damage, the state will suspend your license until the judgment is paid in full. 3. South Carolina is on the right track. They enacted a "pay to play" statute. If you do not have insurance, and are insured in an auto accident, you cannot bring a lawsuit against the other driver for your injuries. If you do not carry the required insurance, you cannot obtain benefits from someone who does. That should get people's attention. If I'm supposed to buy additional coverage to protect myself, why in the hell even have this fund? I understand the point of the fund. I'm pissed I'm getting soaked twice because they don't want to Inconvenience those causing the problem. The only way to make sure your own interests are protected is to take care of it on your own. If you rely on the government to look out for you, you are already screwed, along with everyone else.

State government should definitely be in the business of catastrophic injury insurance. That whole thing is a joke. You create a fund to cover folks who are seriously injured in auto accidents, especially injured by those who don't have auto insurance. So where do you tack on that fee??? Onto insurance policies. So the asses who already don't have insurance, don't have to pay the fee they caused the rest of us to. They need to put it on the tabs (it's never going away). The only way to make those without insurance at least pay into the fund. 1.
