Broyles released.
Also, Lions traded for Wright from Tampa. I'm guessing that means Fauria is in trouble.

That seems random. Oh well, it was fun for those four games Big Joe.

Everything Caldwell has said since he's been here on he subject sounded like Broyles didn't want it enough. Even with the other receiver injuries last year I believe it was said Broyles never came into his office to complain about or to try and get more touches or playing time. Not that he was doing much with what he got. They keep throwing opportunities at Fuller and Ross and for the most part I think they look terrible. Seems like there would have still been an opportunity for a guy who wasn't ok with being a back up or special teams guy. Broyles always looked too comfortable standing on the sideline and shooting the shit during games when shown on camera.

Why and what did we give up? I would have taken the possible double digit draft picks next draft. I'm not happy with our TE production but I didn't feel I needed to go get one a week before the season either. Unless there is an injury they didn't make public yet.

Stanford got cut today too. Other than Broyles the only name on the list I've heard anyone talk about. Down to 78.

So are they cutting Fauria? We'll see. From what I read Wright was going to get cut in TB.

From what I can gather on Twitter the team is not happy with the amount of professionalism that Fauria shows. Apparently one of his ankle injuries wasn't from an accident with his dog, but he was playing rec league volleyball.

Phil Taylor released by Browns.
With our weak depth at DT, I think we should take a flyer on him.

I think the Lions are looking for more of a pass rusher at DT, and Taylor is more of a run stuffer.

I like what I have seen out of Walker, and Taylor was pretty bad last year. Also, if you sign Taylor, who are you cutting? Looking at the current projections as to who makes the team, you have:
Ngata Walker Reid Wright Cudjo Ansah Jones Taylor Hunt Tapp
That's 10 guys that will probably make the team. The likely option is Cudjo, but he has had a really good preseason and I would hate to see him get cut.

IAF was an All-State basketball and volleyball player in high school. He walked onto the UH basketball team before discovering football (or the football coaches discovering him) in college. Blast from the past: From the.honoluluadvertiser.com/article/2002/Jun/18/sp/sp02a.htmlI probably watched way too much preseason football back in those days, but I recall the basketball and volleyball background being mentioned a lot.

Looks like Fauria was cut.
He's saying goodbye and thank you Detroit on Twitter.
