That nyquist penalty a shot was sick Tatar's was better No it wasnt, as said the slow mo shit is regarded. Nyquist opened Crawford up and just casually slid it right between the pads. That is balls (or lots of tape) to know the goalie is opening the 5 hole and having the reactions to slide it in at the perfect time is quality.

disagree. tatar UNDRESSED crawford But then you followed it up with what he did should be illegal... It isn't hard to get the advantage when you are standing still and the defender has to move around even I pin a sport like basketball, let alone on ice...

Just when you think Howard might have figured out shootouts... boom goes the dynamite. Allowing 3 goals in 2 minutes seems to be the new thing too.

The gold and purple Kings unis looked much better on a tube TV back in the day then they do now on an HDTV.
Crappy start to this one.

uh no.. a puck shot at your shoulder is extremely difficult to catch, every other NHL goalie does not catch them.

Frickin' Stephen Weiss. Has a open goal & can't put it in. That miss was huge last night. I'm getting tired of him. Came out like a house on fire to start the year & has disappeared since. Gets manhandled too much.

I must be old now because I used to like late games once in awhile but this week really showed why its good the Red Wings are out of the west. I barely made it through two periods last night but it was nice to find out this morning that they came back and won

I really like the Erik Cole move. You picked up a big and fast veteran with almost 20 goals this year for sliding down 20 or so picks in the second round and two non-GR prospects. Good work Kenny.

The Detroit Red Wings have acquired right-handed shooting defenseman Marek Zidlicky from the New Jersey Devils for a conditional third-round pick in 2016.
Zidlicky, 38, is in the final year of his contract, so he will be a rental.
If the Red Wings reach the Eastern Conference finals, the Devils will get Detroit's fifth-round pick in 2015 as well. If the Red Wings reach the Stanley Cup finals, New Jersey gets Detroit's second-round pick in 2016 and that fifth-rounder goes back to Detroit.
He's a mobile, puck-moving defenseman with a good, hard shot. He will upgrade an already strong power play that is ranked No. 1 in the NHL.
Zidlicky (5-foot-11, 190) has four goals and 19 assists, along with a minus-7 rating in 63 games this season.
The Red Wings tried to sign him as a free agent in each of the past two seasons but the native of the Czech Republic opted to re-sign with the Devils each time. He waived his no-trade clause to come to Detroit.
Zidlicky is an 11-year NHL veteran who has 82 goals and 308 assists, along with a minus-67 rating, in 762 games. He has appeared in 38 playoff games, picking up one goal and 15 assists.
The Red Wings tried to make a bigger impact move by acquiring Dion Phaneuf from Toronto but the Maple Leafs refused to assume a portion of his $7 million cap hit for the next six seasons. The Red Wings wanted him at $5 million per season.

Not afraid to do a bit of hacking & whacking to get a players attention. As long as he doesn't get stupid, I like it.
