Darrell Bevell the new Lions OC. Sounds like a rush heavy attack with some ply action coming. An experienced guy that Patricia can turn the offense over to and that can work within his philosophy. I’m not sure how I feel about it yet. The league isn’t really doing smash mouth football right now. Zig when they zag?

I'd be more upset at losing Washington (although that has been rumored for the past week or two). There is something going on in Ann Arbor. Not sure if it has to do with Brown, Harbaugh or both, but there seems to be a problem. Looks like Don Brown will stay at UM as defensive coordinator. Word on the street is that Harbaugh has given full control of the defense to Brown, and that may have been some of the issue with Mattison. Offensive Coordinator will be 34 year old Josh Gattis, formerly of Alabama. Hope this isn't Nussmeier 2.0! In other news, Mark Dantonio re-arranged the deck chairs at MSU.

I had a hunch Clemson would beat Alabama, but never did I think it would be a 44-16 blowout!
The saddest part about watching last night (and current CFB) is that UM and MSU aren't even in the same field as these top teams. There is definitely haves and have nots in College Football.

Rumor: Greg Mattison to become defensive coordinator at Ohio State! Going after out LB coach too I heard Al Washington I'd be more upset at losing Washington (although that has been rumored for the past week or two).

Matt Patricia is late to meetings, the Packers may hire Jim Caldwell.

Urban Meyer set to retire from coaching after the Rose Bowl. The biggest victory for UM this season! This just fits his usual pattern. In a couple of years a big job at a scumbag University that doesn’t care that he’s a scumbag will get offered to him and the circle will begin again. There are already rumors out there involving him with USC and the Cleveland Browns. Another thing I heard, which seems very plausible, is that his "retirement" is part of an agreement Meyer made with OSU as part of his three-game suspension.

Eruff, I agree with you about the Michigan Man bullshit. But I think the problem is internal and a mindset, not Harbaugh. IF Harbaugh leaves, there will just be another public outcry to get another Michigan Man. I'll bet if/when Harbaugh leaves, Les Miles, Tyrone Wheatley and Mike Hart will be names mentioned as replacements.
Harbaugh is doubly woven into the Michigan Man fabric because he was already an existing, high profile coach and a former (successful) QB at the University.
And by the way, I asked you Eruff: Who would you replace Harbaugh with? My answer in 2014 is the same as it is today: Chris Peterson, not a Michigan Man.

Classic UM fan post lmao... How do you figure? Classic Michigan post is elitist and confident. That post was neither of those things. Yeah, I didn't get that.

Taken at face value yes. Though I think if Michigan would have been able to get pressure on Haskins and knock him around a little bit he wouldn’t have looked so good. I STOPPED being a fan of UM when they hired Jim. That was the last day I rooted for UM.
Now to the delusional UM fans that thought UM really had a chance against a wounded OSU team was proved wrong again. Haskins was in the top 10 nationally, so the QB debate with Patterson was/is laughable to say the least. Meyer owns the SmallTen and hasn't even broke a sweat in his time as OSU head coach. Had the OL player didn't get hurt they would've dropped 70 on UM, lmao....
Who did you want UM to hire, instead of Harbaugh. Who would you hire today?

The only hope UM has right now is if Urban Meyer retires. UM will never beat OSU except for fluke now and again, and UM will not fire Harbaugh.

This is the first time in a long time that Michigan (may) have a better quarterback than OSU.

Are you saying you don’t think they’ll beat OSU? What makes you think any different than what has happened in the last decade? Yeah, I'm having a hard time buying this media narrative that UM will beat OSU decisively. Has anyone watched the last 10-15 years of this rivalry? This is (presumably) the #4 ranked team on the road versus the #10 ranked team. It's not like it is a #4 versus an unranked, although even if OSU was unraked, it would still be close, still be a dogfight.

In a weird way, I'm glad they kept Jim Bob Cooter as OC. Because had Patricia brought in another OC, then that would have been the excuse by Stafford apologists. Doesn’t it point to JBC either way? It's bizarre because Stafford and JBC had success early on, it seems to have all collapsed this season.

My brain will not let me consider that Michigan will beat OSU in two weeks. Even though every logical stat and analysis says UM should win, I cannot believe it. I guess just too much trauma over the past 15 years. Well expect to not have a representative of the SmallTen in the playoff if UG paints Bama in the SEC Championship game. I expect the masses to shove the weak conference being the reason a SmallTen school doesn't make the playoff.
Michigan shouldn't have lost to ND, so this is their own fault!

Because he has been right about Stafford all along. As far as I know, the rest of left on the board were Stafford supporters, self included. What was he right about? That he gets good numbers against prevent defense? Yes. And the general observation that Stafford is not a very good quarterback. I think the problem with Stafford is that he is the best QB we've had in Detroit for a very long time. So the fan base was willing to accept his mediocrity.
