You should hire that insane pool guy for your next house. Your pool should definitely cost more than your house.

Just bought a new Roku TV. Subscribed to Sling and Netflix. Dumping Dish. Just need to upgrade my poor internet connection. Going to 4g LTE residential service.

Got a FireTv for tv a couple of years ago and haven’t looked back. Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime service. Also get HBO free for still being an AT&T customer.

Wasn't sure the wife was going to go for it, but we're saving a ton of money, and she gets DIY and HGTV, so she's happy.

The only knock on what we’re doing is we don’t have a regular tv service package. To be honest we don’t even miss it. I use apps to watch the things I can’t get on the other stuff. Sports is always a big issue but you can get around it as long as what you want to watch isn’t on CBS. You have to pay for their streaming service even to watch sports. Just having a tv subscription doesn’t give you access to CBS streaming. I’d say I’m probably around $30-35 a month. A couple family members who have not yet cut the cord let me use their login if I need to get into any apps where service is required.

I'm addicted to Narcos. Irony. The streaming services are putting out some very high quality programming. No commercials is just a bonus.

Not missing the broadcast channels much. The stuff I do watch that isn't on Slingtv (Gotham) is available on demand.

What sucks is some of the more popular shows only leave episodes available for a few weeks. So if you get too far behind you can’t watch them until after the season.

I upgraded my Wow internet from 30mps to 100mps a few days ago. I've done a speed check the last few nights and it's been as low as 3 and peaked at 30 for download speeds. I'm not sure if it's my modem/wifi or just shitty service. I think it was actually faster when I was paying for 30.

I upgraded mine and they came out and gave me a new modem. The only difference I can tell is that all four of us can be using the WiFi at the same time and it doesn’t lag. It doesn’t seem any faster.

We upgraded to the Google Wifi home (base for a mesh network). Speeds have been 25 and 17.
