I have heard good things about SL and SS. I do a modified version of this: linkThe only mods I made were to some of the accessory lifts. I didn't touch the Compound lifts because those are the most important. Don't get too anxious moving up, that's how you snap your shit up. Deadlifts and Squats are by far my favorite lifts. The other 3 are much slower progressing wise. Do you lift in a power rack for Squats at least? General does power rack band resistance all I want for my birthday is a big booty ho He lifts the whole rack? Holy shit.

He used to beat the sh!t out of the other wrestlers with it when the "ref wasn't looking"

Day 9 of Stronglifts today. The lifts still aren't tough, but they're getting tougher considering there's a 5 lb increase each day. I have to resist the urge to do more reps, but I want to stick with the program. Today is 155lb Squat, 95lb bench press, and 80lb barbell row. Diddy get on this program I have heard good things about SL and SS. I do a modified version of this: linkHow long does it take you to do that work out? That's a lot of sets. I'm going to begin lifting again this week. Not sure what to do, though> I want to try something different from what I have done in the past. I'm interested in doing a program with compound lifts and whole body exercises, and skip a lot of the isolation work that I have done in the past. I went for a bike ride on fri and sat, taking advantage of the warm weather. I haven't gained much weight being off for the surgery, but my stamina suffered. Having a piece of lung removed doesn't seem to have affected my breathing though.

That's solid work. Which do you have? We are leaning towards the NordicTrac Elite 9700. The iFit tech on it is pretty sweet

But sometimes you just gotta do it so your day or week isn't a wash out. I'm not a fan of spin bikes/classes either, but this time of year, it's the only option.

I was out last night after dark and it was 40 degrees. I can't handle the cold anymore. I've lived in the South too long and my body has adapted to warmer weather. Give me 90-100 degrees all day every day and I'm good. I don't even turn on the A/C until it's over 95.

Having a piece of lung removed doesn't seem to have affected my breathing though. Usually about an hour and a half. Deadlift day is a bit shorter but my rest after heavy Deadlifts is longer compared to squats. 3 day full body has worked well for me but it's taxing. Rest days are very important. Also, if you use the scale a lot which I don't recommend, don't expect to see it dropping at a fast rate but you will see results if you stick with that and your diet. You can mix in moderate intensity cardio on your off days but for the first few weeks I wouldn't recommend it. DOMS can be a real bitch.

I normally lift on a 4 day split based on body parts. Im thinking of changing to a 2 day split based on compound movements.
Day 1 Bench Deadlift Squat Over head press
Day 2 Curls Tris Rows
And do that twice a week for 4 workouts. Im looking to shorten up my workouts i normally put in 1.5 to 2 hrs and i think thats too long. I just need to figure a reps/sets schedule for each one.
Also thinking about mixing in ddp yoga on non lifting days.

To each their own though. You'll also find that depending on the order of your compound lifts your lifts after the first two may suffer due to your body being tired. Especially if you start with DL's and Squats.
