Which is why he's over fucking paid right now dumb ass. He signed that deal 3 seasons ago, lmao.... I'm not a dumbass because that's how much a mid range QB gets paid in the NFL. It's fine if you don't agree in principle with the facts but don't deny that it's a fact. That makes you look like the dumbass. Quarterback: Matthew Stafford, Lions (2015 cap hit: $17.7 million)
Only seven players have a bigger cap hit in 2015 than Stafford, but the Lions quarterback has been amongst the worst at his position through five games. His eight interceptions lead the NFL, while his passer rating of 74.8 ranks 33rd among 35 qualified quarterbacks. The now 0-5 Lions benched him in the second half of last week’s home drubbing to the Cardinals.

If you were resigning him this offseason to a new deal he'd be making the same or a little more per year than he is now because that's the going rate. If you refused to pay that for him like you say then Houston would have it's new QB because he'd walk and then you'd get the scraps of who is left when things shake out. Which is why he's over fucking paid right now dumb ass. He signed that deal 3 seasons ago, lmao.... You really don't understand economics or math

Again measuring by cap hit, not average annual salary. The way the club manipulates the cap number per year is a separate issue

You really don't understand economics or math He's do to make 22m next season and he's aint worth half of that. You dumb ass Lion fans are the only ones biting the apple. Let him go to Cleveland or San Fran wtf you think he will do there?

If you don't think that Houston, Cleveland, St. Louis, San Fransico, or maybe even Philadelphia would take him if you let him walk then you are delusional. I wouldn't be surprised if a couple teams like Dallas, Atlanta, or Denver if they're done with Peyton and don't like Brock tried to swap out. Stafford to Dez, Stafford to Julio, or Stafford to Demaryius Thomas? C'mon. Houston, Clev, St. Louis, San Fran, or Philly would take him sure, but will he take them to the playoffs? Again this is why maybe you should stop talking.

He doesn't make $22M that's just what his salary counts against the cap this year due to bonuses and guaranteed money already given to him most likely as a signing bonus.

Again this is why maybe you should stop talking. The guy who should stop talking is the guy who wants to get rid of Stafford and then be stuck with one of the guys that starts at QB on one of the teams you just listed. Because that's all that would be left in free agency. Those guys and the guys not good enough to be on a team right now.

Average annual salary. That's what he signs up for. The team does whatever in the background to make room on a given year. They could have a two million cap hit one year and thirty the next. That doesn't make him a two million dollar player. Bean counter stuff doesn't equal annual salary.

This is a team sport and the higher the CAP HIT for a garbage player the lower the cap that franchise can budget elsewhere. The same reason why they couldnt keep Suh. Why dont you fools understand simple cap math. Roster bonuses and other bonuses still count against a teams cap doesnt it?

It reminds me of the draft thread when we took Suh. Like a month of people saying the same thing over and over.

Just because you're so incredibly stupid and talking to you is like talking to a child making everyone not even want to bother trying doesn't make you right. Being ignorant and pushy isn't going to get people to agree with you.

Let him go to Cleveland or San Fran wtf you think he will do there? Proof that you either can't read or do math. Next year Stafford has a Cap hit of 22m. Not a salary. The salary is 17 million, and then there is 5.5 million in money from his signing bonus. www.spotrac.com/nfl/detroit-lions/matthew-stafford/

Again measuring by cap hit WTF are you supposed to measure when the Lions are due to pay him 22.5m (17m base and 5.5m bonus) in 2016? The bonus was already paid when he signed the deal. Maybe you should educate yourself on how the NFL salary cap works.

Maybe you should educate yourself on how the NFL salary cap works. His post about Suh was very telling to that fact. I'm not familiar with the numbers on Suh's deal in Miami but I'm sure they're taking a cap hit somewhere. Maybe not year one but on the back end for sure. He didn't play up to that deal this year either making it not worth it.
