The 2016 draft is not producing any starting QB's in the NFL. Probably career back ups and third stringers. Yup the same shit was said about Wilson and Bridgewater and it turns out it's just bullshit. Good players succeed when you have good players around them.
With that logic everybody would succeed all of the time because everyone has some 'good players'. Sounds like it's working out that way to me.

I don't get what you're trying to say? You think he's good? Their d and running games are good

He's in his second year, he wins and has a higher career rating than stafford. I wouldn't say he blows...

1 for 1 td/int ratio and doesn't pass the eye test. Not impressive

I wouldn't say he's winning them games. Lock down Peterson and make him beat you, I don't think he can do it. I'd rather have Stafford than teddy

Take Tunsil and do whatever else it takes the bolster that offensive line. That way Stafford won't have any excuses, and worst case scenario the Lions are setting things up nicely for the next QB.
Call me crazy, but I kind of like the mix of RBs on the Lions. Joique can be your short yardage/bruiser. Abdullah your early down, primary guy. And Riddick your pass catcher, 3rd down back. I'm not saying I'd take those three over AP, but at least the Lions don't have all their eggs in one basket, nor do they have a ton of money tied up in one player (like they do with Calvin).

Because they draft good defensive players, have a good line and the best rb in the nfl. None of that has to do with Stafford vs teddy

He's a good game manager. So was BigBen, Brady and R. Wilson so what's your point? Ben and Brady has turned into franchise Qb's from your "game manager" tag. Again you Lion fans are full of shit...
Both teams were powered by great defenses and running games, and for a long time, Roethlisberger carried the label of game manager. He also appeared in three Super Bowls, winning two of them.

Over 35 years later, Ben Roethlisberger will try to do the same. Despite winning two Super Bowls himself and playing in a third, Big Ben is almost always left out of the most "best quarterbacks in the game today" conversations. Many football "experts" say he was merely a game manager on those 2005 and '08 Steelers teams, and that his statistics don't match up against the league's best passers.

Asked how it felt to be just "a game manager" in the Patriots' 43-22 AFC divisional playoff win over the Colts, Brady just smiled.
"It was good," he said after the game. "We keep playing like that, the way our defense is getting the ball for us, and really what we've done the last three or four weeks, the running game has just been awesome. It's helped everything out.

I'm not full of shit. I know the market, I know the value, and I know what we have. A qb in the ten to fifteen range, paid as such

If you consider Brady or Big Ben just game managers then you're the one who is full of shit. "Game Managers" don't throw the ball 40+ times a game and aren't in the discussion for G.O.A.T like Brady is. The more you post the more I question your football knowledge. Anybody can cut and paste links to other peoples opinions and then agree with them.

You either can't or won't understand market value and player talent in the NFL. I'm sure a team with you as the GM would be historically bad. Maybe worse than Millen.

I'm not a Stafford supporter, but even I know that we are getting fair market value for him. Even shitty QBs get good salaries. ...and as much as I don't like him, I don't see any alternatives that are any better.

It's fools gold. What would that payment look like if I got a new note in today's market?
Is it that hard? Youre comparing a contract he signed 3 seasons ago to today's market. What do you think his career contract will be if he signs a new deal.

As soon as Minnesota becomes prolific vertical offense I'll give you an attaboy.

If you were resigning him this offseason to a new deal he'd be making the same or a little more per year than he is now because that's the going rate. If you refused to pay that for him like you say then Houston would have it's new QB because he'd walk and then you'd get the scraps of who is left when things shake out.

It's fine if you don't agree in principle with the facts but don't deny that it's a fact. That makes you look like the dumbass.

If you don't think that Houston, Cleveland, St. Louis, San Fransico, or maybe even Philadelphia would take him if you let him walk then you are delusional. I wouldn't be surprised if a couple teams like Dallas, Atlanta, or Denver if they're done with Peyton and don't like Brock tried to swap out. Stafford to Dez, Stafford to Julio, or Stafford to Demaryius Thomas? C'mon.
