This is a year where Michigan could actually win the big ten tournament if they play well. I doubt it will happen but none of these teams are head and shoulders above the others.

I can't believe they still won after that BS with the clock stoppage at the end of regulation.

Incredible run by this team. Seems like they got screwed a little bit in their NCAA seeding

Philly's reverse jinx have been on point this year. I do think the seeding is horse shit... but when Hollis is on the committee... what do you expect

I guess this is what Beilein is. Wildly inconsistent but he wins stuff.

The final two minutes yesterday was awesome to watch. Steal dunk steal showboat dunk steal showboat dunk steal attempted showboat dunk that turned into a windmill layup.
It was fucking sick being that excited watching Michigan play for the first time since the run to the championship game.

All in all... I think Michigan has a great draw despite getting shafted with their seed. Assuming they don't step on their dick with a big emotional let down after the B1G tourney... Louisville would be a competitive matchup that they could win if they play well. Purdue absolutely has the makeup to potentially upset Kansas and after that- the next best team is Oregon, who I think is overrated

I think there is a very good chance that U=M and MSU are both one and dones

It's not like this team is a final four team, so at least they got something out of this season. They can hang a banner for this. I am happy for Derrick Walton Jr. He has had a nice skill set, he just seems to have been a late bloomer. Too bad he didn't play like this as a Sophomore.

The SmallTen Banner is ok I guess if youre a #1 seed....

One banner signifies you actually won something, the other is an indication you advanced to a certain point, then lost (unless of course you are hanging a NC banner next to it). Seems a little bit like a participation trophy to me. That's almost as pathetic as the Lions hanging a banner for making the playoffs.

I said something similar to a friend yesterday. I said even if they do have a short run, which of course I don't want, the last month or so has been a lot of fun.

I understand majority of UM fans (football/Bball) have very low expectations. The SmallTen conference as a whole has been very mediocre this season. Hanging a SmallTen banner means nothing....

If you "make a run" & roll to the sweet 16 or elite 8 with a mediocre team you're told, "where's you chip ring"...ie you didn't accomplish anything. If you get the 2nd season conference banner but exit as that 6-7-8 or worse seed right off the get-go it's like your season was a bust. Under this years circumstances with the flight the B1G Tourney banner carries more juice than usual.

You're absolutely right about expectations. UM entered the B1G tourney as the #8 seed, and is now the lowest seed to ever win it. I went to one of the early regular season games, and posted I thought this team was garbage. To see them accomplish this much has been pure joy!

I still cant think of a time that a Beeline team showed so much improvement over the course of a season. The advancement of VVagner, Wilson and Beet was unexpected and impressive. That's been the beef about his system is that he rarely makes kids better. They either come in and fit the system well or not. Burke was a stud from day one, maybe you could say Stauskas improved a lot... but not as much during the same season... he came back from the off season a more advanced player his jr. year.

He at least picked a rotation and pretty much stuck with it this year. The last two years he fell in love with Ricky Doyle for some unknown reason and gave almost no time to DJ Wilson and Wagner who are the only players with any kind of NBA potential on this team. He also gave Duncan Robinson way too many minutes last year.

Duncan is the one guy that I feel like hasnt improved at all. I had hoped he would work on his ball handling a little bit to help him create his own shots like Nik stauskas a couple years ago

Michigan will have to play better defense in the second round, because they aren't going to hit threes like that again

Nobody on earth happier than Duncan Robinson after missing the front end of 2 one and ones at the end. God I hope Wilson doesnt go pro but his stock is rising fast
