Careful. Talk like that can get you sent to the loony bin around here. Nobody predicts the Lions correctly anyway. That's my guess. It's pretty easy to hedge your bets and say 7-9 wins each year.

I remember last year when people said they would be a sub .500 team "because of their tough schedule." That's the worst argument you can make. You just can't say how a team changes from one year to the next before a game is played. For example, is Peyton Manning going to be the MVP candidate from a couple of years ago, or is he going tone the hot garbage that he was at the end of last season? Sure Seattles defense is still going to be good, but Lynch is getting old and they lost the heart of their offensive line. That's just two examples. youre defending your argument by saying that the team thats represented the NFC in the super bowl the last two years, that never loses at home, might not be that good.. try again.

Here's my bridge: 2014 11 wins - 2 luck -1 Suh + 1 dullah/line + 1 Stafford better = 10 wins in 2015

Erik Kramer attempted suicide last night. I don't know the status of the current lawsuits but the NFL owners should pay big over this.

Un-guaranteed and low value contracts compared to baseball and the nba. On top of that, players are taking on risk of this type of brain injury. Balance of power is shifted too far to the owners in this sport. I don't get it.

The quotes from his ex wife were interesting and ultimately really sad. I wonder if eventually this stuff will take away from how much I like the league.

It's the NFLPA that sucks so much. The owners are greedy and probably uncaring but how does the NFLPA continue to exist at such a shitty level in comparison to the others?

What I don't get is nobody has a proposed change? Remove hitting from the game? The whole conversation is a non starter.

Some are choosing not to play. AC is right. This needs to be a union fight not a court fight. Hopefully they wake up.

Maybe the auto industry should pay everyone that half asses suicide. They sure as hell pay everyone when they fuck up an ignition. Nfl built up the product partly on the huge hits players like Kramer took. Now they changed the rules so you can't do that anymore. Why change?

3's instead of 7's against bad teams seems pretty normal.

Brandon Marshall or whomever can feel free to get a real job as an accountant or whatever else they are good at.

These guys have a unique talent to play a violent sport. They get paid millions and assume the risk. This isn't like a fucking car recall.

The union needs to step it up and get a better agreement. It seems like the retirees have basically no health care and the lack of any real guaranteed money is kind of a joke

They have tons of leverage. Nobody wants scabs again. Half a season on strike would make them negotiate.

It seems like the retirees have basically no health care and the lack of any real guaranteed money is kind of a joke Most of these players have big time bills....cars, homes, businesses etc. They are in serious trouble if they had to go more than a few weeks without a game check. The owners had them over a barrel during the last collective bargaining.
