Yea I'm not paying for private school in the Northville school district. That's just stupid. If my kid needs that much help/attention, he isn't going to amount to jack squat anyway and can live in a van down by the river as that's his destiny. Ha. That's my attitude also. I will pay every cent of college though.

I'd much rather be putting the money into a a 529... Or betting against Brexit... Or at least the occasional lap dance

Though, leaving now would save a shit load of cash. Just paid the first months tuition for kid A and kid B to be in Catholic school this week. $1100 a month this year... On top of $1600 a month for a full time nanny because I still have a little shit at home too. Crazy to think that having 3 kids in private school will actually save me a fuck ton. If moved to Michigan- we could almost get away with public schools, as an A school in Florida is like a C school downriver in Michigan Plus $500 per month per kid for college. More if you didn't start saving at birth... Is that the right amount btw? That's what I put towards the 529 per month. I think my son has the average net worth of an American at 3.

We haven't even started the 529 yet... I'm still banking on my kids being athletic or smart.

Everyone has a sob story though. We also pay 1,600 a month for daycare. I just draw the line at private schools.

We've only been putting $300/month in our 529. I thought we were ahead of the game.

We do 500, I think I did some napkin math and said that was good. Have 15 years to adjust.

I think my son has the average net worth of an American at 3. I forget what rate of return I assumed, but I figured I need 200,000 per kid to be saved over 22 years.
