MSU takes out a full page ad in Dallas, to remind everyone that they lost to both teams in the National Championship game.
Congratulations!

I just read the ad-it says nothing about Oregon or Ohio State. It is a thank you to Dallas for hosting the Cottonbowl /photo/1 Not nearly as classy as hiring skywriters, I know.

Why didn't they post it the paper last week, and why did they buy the add in the exclusive Oregon Vs. OSU section? It's also being reported that the Ad cost $100,000!

Why does it matter? What's the source in the $100,000 figure? Have not been able to find that online anywhere. And FWIW, I have found several sites that reference MSU doing the same thing last year in the LA times after the Rose Bowl. So apparently it's a "thing" with our AD.

what did calhoun do this year? wasnt his year significantly worse than last year? I mean he had one of the luckiest years of all time last year so it was going to be pretty hard to even come close to duplicating. He is still a force and without him the line would have been significantly worse since Rush is gone.

That was a dismantling of fastfreddie's butthurt It's a smart move, to suck up and kiss ass to your host city. The bowl committees aren't bound to strict rules in who and how they choose teams, so why not brown nose your way in? MSU has been known to buy their way into bowls in the past.

Hmm, I have to think that waving a gun around in a fit of road rage is the sort of thing that gets you kicked off the team, but who knows.

I don't get how these guys work so hard and then do something like that right before their best chance to take over a starting job.
