Even ESPN liked that goal ... showed it during the Cornshucker/Condom bowl.

Even ESPN liked that goal ... showed it during the Cornshucker/Condom bowl. #1 on Top 10. Wow. Beat out the millions of dunks out there.

He held on to the puck for 29 seconds. That's nuts.

If Abdelkader didn't end up putting in his rebound it might have gone on the not top 10 on SC.

Nice Road triumph for the Wings tonight in St. Louis. This team is just finding ways this year. Gotta love it!

Just think if they didn't have their shootout handicap. They would be 1st in the East.

Fun team to watch, loaded with talent and have a ton of young prospects too.. Legit contender I think Definitely. Still a marvel to see a team with such a strong minor league with very few first round picks. The Wings develop talent better than any other organization by far.

Ya. They are great at developing generational talents that dropped in their lap with the number one overall pick. I'd say both of these statements are true. I'd say the jury is still out on how well their "home grown" talent develops. Hank & Pavel were just great picks.

I just hope Kenny sits on his hands like a good little GM this trade deadline. There's no one out there who would have an immediate impact on this team (ie, a first-line defenseman) and prices go sky high come deadline time.
Remember, a few years ago, Holland agreed to send Nyquist AND Tatar AND a first round pick (Mantha) to Calgary for Jay Bouwmeester, only to be turned downed by Calgary's GM. Last year he sent Calle Jarnkrok to Nashville for two months of human toilet paper in Legwand.
Keep rolling with the young guys.

frickin' Wings do it again v. the Avs. Nice to keep the win's coming after the layoff.
Much talk during the game regarding the Outdoor game next year at Coors Field & the chatter of a "Rivalry" alumni game. Not your typical cast of 50-60 something's but guys from the heated rivalry days. Although other than Lemieux I can't imagine too many guys hold any major grudges.

for a season where a lot of people predicted they wouldnt make the playoffs, this has been pretty solid

Not true if they bring all the players (that they can, of course) back from that era. There was a lot of hatred there.
