Up until this season Stafford had seen pressure on 28.2 percent of his dropbacks. That means he’s feeling the heat 37.8 percent more than his career average. For a quarterback who’s never posted a quarterback rating over 71.8 under pressure for a single season, and has a history of decision-making problems, that’s going to have a substantial impact. It’s also done him no favors that the line problems have manifested to an extreme in the running game. The Lions are on pace for 784 rushing yards, which would be the lowest total in a 16-game season. Only one team in the Super Bowl era has had fewer rushing yards through five games. Detroit is abandoning the ground game at a historic rate, and is on pace for the fewest rushing attempts in league history. Putting the offensive onus on almost entirely on Stafford is a huge problem. www.washingtonpost.com/news/sports/wp/2015/10/13/how-matthew-stafford-and-the-detroit-lions-offense-went-lame-at-lightning-speed/

It's comical that people will even think that the offensive line was ever trending upward. I showed that rushing stats for the last 5 years and they were constantly in the bottom half of the NFL. I see how you are attempting to change the narrative. You first said that they ignored the lines' The OLine has 2 1st and 2 3rd round picks? Is that ignoring it? Also, yes according to metrics at ProFootballFocus the line was performing in an upward trend. Change what narrative? Yes, they have drafted 4 high draft picks in the last few years, but they all stink and will be in the bottom half for another season. Also I believe the line also isn't playing well because Stafford inability to make NFL throws. We will talk later when the Lions finish 25th in rushing…. Since you want to use PFF www.prideofdetroit.com/2015/10/8/9479021/pro-football-focus-detroit-lions-worst-offensive-line-in-NFL

I'm in the same boat. I think Michigan has been able to take a lot of chances in the secondary so far this season because they haven't really faced a QB who can make them pay. I don't think Cook is going to pick them apart, but it wouldn't shock me if he throws a couple of TDs. It feels to me like the team who scores the first TD will win this game. I don't like Michigan's chances if they have to come from behind. That's assuming that Cook can stay upright. MSU's Offensive Line is in shambles on the left side, and they haven't faced a defensive front like this at all. Assuming UM CB's can actually cover good WR's as well, correct? Sure MSU has a patch work line, but the one thing they have is experinece at QB that UM defense hasnt seen yet. It will be a fun game to watch.

Listened to the press conference & he basically said the first part. His point was that 11 years ago he was the best guy for the job & as of today he is not............thus he was getting out of the way. He said he was resigning, not retiring. Said he may turn up on a High School sideline, you never know.
All of that is well and good, but the timing is horrible. How can he quit on these kids, right in the middle of the season? SC shouldve let him go in the off season instead they talk him into coming back and we all know how that will always end....

For the money CJ is signed to he's more of a bad contract than anything else. yes, talent wise he may be a top 15 WR, but at 20m per he has become a huge cap liability. You cant get better if you dont spend money in the right area's and the #1 area is the OL and DL. The Lions have the worst oline in the NFC north....
You act like the Lions haven't attempted to add to the offensive line. The left side of the line is a pair of first round picks. The C and RG are 3rd round picks, and the RT position is a mess that I said last year needed to be fixed.
On the Defensive line you had 1st round picks in Suh and Fairly, as well as Ansah. So to say the lines were ignored is a little wrong.
I said to a friend of mine that I think that the Oline issues also start with the coaching staff. The Oline coach was retained from the Schwartz regime to Caldwell, and at that time the Lions oline was trending upward. Now I don't like to use PFF ratings a lot, but their other metrics are telling. Since Caldwell/Lombardi took over, every player along the line has regressed in metrics and rating. That's telling.
It's comical that people will even think that the offensive line was ever trending upward. I showed that rushing stats for the last 5 years and they were constantly in the bottom half of the NFL.

Even with CJ at his best, I've always thought spending big money on a top WR was mistake with the salary cap. NFL defensive coordinators will tell you, they can take away one WR, in just about any offense. And there's multiple ways to do it (a top level CB, safety help over the top or pressure the QB). It's much better to have 2 pretty good wrs, than only one great one. That is some of my frustration this year, because I thought we had one with Golden Tate. Golden Tate was never pretty good. It's a reason Seattle let him walk for nothing. I love his emotion, but he's a locker room cancer and soon Lion fans will see it....

If Rudock throw the deep ball like he has all season UM chances of beating MSU are slim. I don't see UM shutting out MSU and even though I hate his guts we all know Cook >>>>> Ruduck which may be a huge difference in this game... some intelligence in this post I spit the truth you cant handle the truth

CJ is still better than most WR in the league. Look at what Arizona did with Fitzgerald. A good coach doesn't keep doing things that don't work. I think the main problem is the QB is so inconsistent. The offensive coaching staff is the opposite of creative or forward thinking. The OL is a personnel thing which is annoying considering the draft resources they've put there recently. For the money CJ is signed to he's more of a bad contract than anything else. yes, talent wise he may be a top 15 WR, but at 20m per he has become a huge cap liability. Everyone should be canned.. everyone. Cap mess - Lewand Shitty drafting - Mayhew shitty coaching and awful results - Caldwell and co At some point and maybe that was sunday fans should get the feeling it's THE FUCKING players... How about the fact that CJ is a possesion WR. He can't create seperation like he used too. Bring in another coaching staff and the same will get done to them as the last.
You guys put CJ on a platform he didnt deserve and now your stuck eating that dry steak. Stafford fooled many into signing a new contract and now youre stuck with him....

Watched the presser. Threw his QB under the bus and said he's making no broad or sweeping changes. All they need to do us tweak things. Said he spoke to the family and they're "unhappy". Or is it speaking truth to reality. Stafford stinks and no matter they do he will be the starting Qb of the Lions for two more seasons....

I can get $200 per for my four seats easily. My long time ticket holder next to me already got $225 per for his 3 seats...
Thought you sold your entire season before it started. You always save the best games for last and yes i sold majority of the tickets within the first weekend. Thanks for asking though, do you by chance need tickets for the game, lol....

Sad part is that no matter what the Lions do Stat Padford will be a Lion for the next 2 seasons. The Lions also are married to a 20m per possesion WR. This team will not get better until both are gone..... I thought they could cut him after this season, and wouldn't owe him.... I hope it happens, but in spite of this, I also thought this was a BS move by Caldwell: Caldwell told Stafford at half time, he would bench him if he threw one more interception. I don't disagree with his benching, but that is how you speak to a 5 year old. "If I catch you doing that one more time...." Caldwell should have just kept his thoughts to himself, but still bench him. You never know the circumstances of that next INT, what if a WR tipped it to a defender? From what i see that may not be the case.

Caldwell shouldve benched his ass after that piss poor INT in the 1st qtr.....

It's a really weird squad. Secondary obviously blows, and special teams is a complete disaster, and offensive line is lions-esque right now because of all the shuffling. But then other portions are still really solid. Cook had his best game of the year no doubt, but Rutgers secondary is equally pathetic. Just win baby I guess The Rutgers are trash. I mean why in the world would they stop going to Carroo? The guy was killing State deep and they went away from him in the final mins…..

Im a betting man but it's no way I'm giving NW 10.5 points. oops Actually it's proving my point about the BigTen. Besides Stanford the BigTen template for the non-conference schedule has been met. Every fucking team in college football scored yesterday. You show me one team in the top 25 that didn't scored then we will talk. 10 BigTen teams within two games of being bowl eligible. I smell fish……
