Where do you guys usually park for Lions games?
Going to the game tomorrow and someone had mentioned Greektown now charges like $40 for gameday parking? just wondering about the alternatives

Yeah. Usually on the street somewhere unless I'm carpooling with a group to split the cost. Then I hit the parking garage by the Elwood.

I used to park in the lots between Cass and Woodward for all those games. Not sure if those will survive the new red wings arena.

I used to park on the street for years by Michigan and Cass (free on Sundays from meters) and take the people mover to Greektown and walk up three blocks. Was great for years then some doucher decided it was time to start busting car windows out over there.

Underground parking structure on Woodward at Grand River. 7 minute walk to the stadium from there, and the cost is usually 10 bucks.

We're not sure...
There were a group of 3-4 dudes with a case of beer walking on the sidewalk behind the greektown structure (Macomb Street).
We (3 of us) were walking on the opposite sidewalk, just fast-walking towards St. Antoine, then heard a boom as a can of beer hit the curb right next to us... Just ignored it and got the F over to st. antoine where there were other people around...
I think the biggest problem is that we were running late and there ended up being nobody else on that block.. should've gone out the monroe ave exit instead

If you were empty handed, probably wanted you to drink.

It's the only place they like to park. Hopefully you don't have to be anywhere right after the game though.

Service drive near Eastern Market. Free, safe, less than 10 minutes to the stadium.

Service drive near Eastern Market. Free, safe, less than 10 minutes to the stadium. I have parked there before. Safe... So far. A couple of Indian guys had a lot open over there $15 one Thanksgiving. Went back preseason the next year they wanted $50. $50. For a preseason game. I then parked on the service drive nearby.
