So my wife and I sound like we are in Joking's wine arena. 12-18 bucks and a good wine shoppe and you can find some great stuff. I really like blends the best, I agree on Dave Matthews wine although I like the cab much better than crush. We splurge every once in a while and Cloverleaf in Royal Oak recently directed us to this Clio 2012: It was the best wine we have had all year, by far. I think it was about $40. But well worth it. Also, we love Vinotecca's happy hour in Royal oak. 1/2 apps and glasses. Can try all their top stuff with great food. This is my tapatalky siggy

I was told reds should age three years. I honestly can't tell much of a difference yet and they cost about double.
My wife and I did the toast the season tour of the leelanau peninsula last month. We hit about 12 wineries and it was a pretty a good time. The white wines are definitely better up there.

We hit Tabor Hill in Saugatuk last time we were in town and got a few, but their best was their Classic Demi-Sec. Apparently they have been selling this one to the Whitehouse since Ford was president and had pics with a lot of the presidents. It was pretty damn good.
Mission pennisula is still one of my favorite wine tours. There is NOTHING like that around here, which sucks. Our sampling now are more limited to stores and restaurants.
The wife has been buying Boggle a lot lately. That's pretty good too

Joe you are in the Naples area, right? If so, go to the Naples Wine Collection. My cousin owns it.

Free bottle of Chardonnay as my Marriott Platinum gift when I checked into my hotel today. Much better than a bottle water and bag of nuts

The best wine I ever had came out of a box. My wife smuggled it back from Canada after a 10K race.
