Kind of surprised no farewell thread for the Thin White Duke. RIP Major Tom. You will be missed.

I was surprised. I drove all the way to work yesterday morning and nobody said anything on the radio. I had flipped through the dial a couple of times looking for something to listen to. It wasn't until I got to work and somebody there told me that I knew.
RIP

I didn't even know he had cancer. His new album was released last Friday.

The Detroit Cast talked about this clip today on their show. From Ricky Gervais' show Extras:

Wasn't a big fan of his either, but has some good songs & some interesting movie roles. I saw a quote from actress (forget her name), she was talking to Bowie and the subject of children came up. He said that he didn't like children that much & she said that he was a child at one point. His response to her was: "I was never a child, I was born a Rock God." Had to on that. RIP David Bowie.
