Philly throwing shade at Flem and he ain't even around to defend himself. I dropped my season tickets during the David Brandon era. At some point you have to realize they are taking advantage of you. Lions hiked the ticket price every year except two from 1997 to 2007. They even raised them the year after 0-16.

No question. 2 years ago looked like he was on the verge of being all-pro. Now.......all the way to the bank.
Of course he played next to CJ. Now youre starting to see what Seattle saw in Tate.
After the lost to the Bears I hope Stafford is traded by the deadline and the front office/coaching staff is blown up. Time to rebuild the entire roster....
Seemed like he shined when CJ was on the shelf for a bit. But no matter.....that was then, this is now.

Solid halftime adjustments by comatose Caldwell It doesn't matter who the coach is. The Lions never seem to make halftime adjustments. It's like it's a team rule or something.

The Lions dont have the talent to play for 60 mins. Once the Eagles adjusted after halftime on defense you saw the concern written on all the faces of the Lions. Coaching only goes as far as the play of the players. Take a look at how thin of talent the Lions has. LB, CB, DE and OL are very thin on talent....

Two of those positions weren't even bolstered in the offseason (LB and CB) which is ridiculous and the other two were which is sad.

Baltimore already fired Trestman as their OC. Maybe they want the old one back? Can we trade Caldwell?

For once epuff has a valid point. What is the status on Levy and Ansah?

So you think he's getting the most out of what he's got and is making good coaching decisions in game situations? You're giving him a pass because the talent is poor and you wouldn't want to hopefully upgrade the head coach going into next season?

I am starting to think the chances of Caldwell being the coach in 2017 are increasing.

Jim Harbaugh Lets start with the two Pro Bowlers off top.
P.Willis J.Smith
Both on defense. Willis was the BEST MLB in the NFL at that time. Now lets go to the core of the 49er's.
F.Gore D.Walker M.Crabtree V.Davis A.Davis M.Iupati J.Staley
T.Spikes D.Goldson R.McDonald N.Bowman M.Lawson
They had a very good core and JH fell into the perfect team for his style of coaching...

Again everytime I asked for a core group of guys and they much like you cant give me 6 guys on the Lions roster that you can build around....

Again everytime I asked for a core group of guys and they much like you cant give me 6 guys on the Lions roster that you can build around.... So again you're saying he should get a pass and none of it is his fault. He rode the talent Dungy left in Indy to a Super Bowl and he lost it in spite of that talent. Manning even visibly disagreed with his decisions. Then the second year with much of the same talent they went into the toilet. Manning got hurt and he handcuffed himself to Orlovsky who now once again we can't get rid of here. He was going to get fired as OC in Baltimore had Mayhew not hired him. He was way way on the outs there. So he was granted a second chance in this league and once again rode what little talent Schwartz had into a playoff appearance. Now the team is worse, his game decisions and clock management are awful, and he should get a pass because he doesn't have any talent? How about you coach up what you do have and make the right calls? Maybe then I could be on board. I think twice now he's proved he's a team killer and I don't want that here.

I love how when this conversation comes up you clowns never mention the GM Polian and his son was also fired. Once Manning got hurt the season was lost. What dont you understand about that situation? Unlike any other team in the NFL, Manning was the OC/QB that the team built around. You go from Manning to Painter (who didnt take a meaniful snap in 3 seasons), to Orlovsky who didnt play bad, but the team is built for Manning, and finally a washed up QB in Collins.
The Ravens offense as a whole was terrible. It wasnt his playcalling that had Flacco throw 20 plus ints, nor was it his fault the OL was banged up and ran the ball for a clip of 2.2 ypc. You guys sure do miss a lot of information when youre spewing your Caldwell BS. Hey I dont like him or the Lions, but enough is enough. J.Harbaugh has been through how many OC's in Baltimore now? When does it lands at his feet instead of his OC's?

So not only is he a team killer but a front office killer too. That's a stellar resume for a guy who should take none of the blame.

Again, if you name 6 players that worth being called the Lions core players to build around then you will have a point. Until then keep crying about a coach that can't seem to take your mediocre ass Lions anywhere….
