I see we both used the mud hens compare Great minds think a like sir. Sorry haven't responded earlier, the family & I took a long vacation. No worries. Sorry I stole you mud hens haha. I swear I didn't read your reply before I posted it was the closest thing I could think of even though it isn't an apples to apples being that the mud hens aren't in mlb. Someone said the USA vs Russia but that was one game. This is so much more of an upset. It is awesome though I can't even imagine what their fans are feeling.

The analogy of the Toledo isn't to far off. Think if MLB had regulation with Triple A. Leicester & Toledo are very small market teams, with a smaller fan base. Now with this championship & TV money, it was like the Foxes won the lottery. Next season if they can sustain a top for 4 finish or win the championship again, they will never be a small club again. The influx of $$$ will forever change the LCFC, just an amazing story.

If the figures for Paul Pogba are true, then Man U is either very desperate or totally out of their minds. A 100 million for a player of his stature is outrageous. Pogba is a very good player, but he has tendency not to show in big games and he played in Serie A. I don't want to say Serie A is a soft legue, but if they breath to hard on an opponent it's a foul. Pogba will have it a lot tougher in the Premier and for that much $$ he better delivery.

The signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic was smart business, he already has 2 goals. It's just the signing of Paul Pogba for a record fee of $130 million is to me crazy. Don't get me wrong Pogba is a very good player, but he isn't worth that. The players that come to mind that might be worth that are: Messi, Neymar, Ronaldo, Bale & maybe Suarez.

I feel like it is just like all the American sports. Every summer the prices go up and players who are above average are going to get outrageous transfer fees and contracts just based on what is out there.
I heard Reus and lewendowski could get 200+

I forgot to list Reus & Lewendowski, 2 very good players in their own right. One even could make an argument for Thomas Mueller receiving the highest transfer fee. Bayern would hold out for a record fee for those 2.

When you start seeing average to slightly above average guys going for record setting contracts you realize that it is only going to get worse from there.
When Matt stafford signs the highest contract in NFL history you know that something is wrong (it will happen)
Same is going on in soccer. It's an arms race. Some transfer seasons will be loaded with talent and some will be cupboards are bare. The seasons without talent are the ones where good players are making insane money because the rich teams are always going to spend.
Ronaldo or messi could get a half a billion dollars for their clubs in a transfer fee

Man City looks like a totally different team under Pep. If they keep playing like this they will challenge Barcelona & RM for European supremacy. Also if they keep playing like this they could have the Premier League wrapped up by Christmas.
