Dont even compare the two teams. GB has a better front office, roster, Qb and better fans. The day the Packers lose 18 staright road games vs teams over .500 then we talk. You guys think winning 11 games is an accomplishment when you lose again in the first round of the playoffs. It's only an accomplishment because the Lions will blow ass next season just like 2012 after the playoff loss to New Orleans by 30 in the first round..... Face it, they beat the same garbage teams. None of that other shit matters. If you're gonna say they're garbage because the Lions beat them but then say they're world championship quality because GB did, you're fucking delusional. Same fucking schedule sans two games. The Lions are soft and they play soft. Hence they only beat shitty teams and lose to the better teams. 0-18 says a lot…..

I dont know who's more annoying Detroit born lions hater or detroit born lions slappy It's a toss up. Neither one will ever be satisfied. Everytime they lose it's going to be 'Ha ha I told you they were shitty!' or 'Oh my god we will never win, let's start the third string QB then we'll be a winner!'. Any progress they make will always be worthless to either faction because the Lions lost. The Lions could win it all and there would be hate. The Lions are a flawed team that has holes in it. They had a great season and got jobbed during their playoff game. There's a lot of work to do but over all the season was a positive.

im laughing my fucking ass off at you proclaiming we had a great season..... It's semantics and how you define a great season. Only 5 teams had a better record than the Lions this season. Based on were I thought they would finish this year, they greatly exceeded my expectations. Something my old man used to say, in regards to the local sports teams, just be in the hunt down the stretch, and I will be satisfied. If you are playing meaningful football in December (or meaningful baseball in September), than I am happy. Considering where this franchise has been over the past 10-20 years, this was an extremely successful year.

So because th Lions has been the doormat of the NFL because they played a ice cream soft schedule and got bounced in the first round again with the talent on this team this season should be deined as great? I get it, lmao.....
It's called expectations which none of you have for this team.

I never used the term great. I said it was a successful year, and that it was. I picked them to have 5-6 wins, so IMO, it was "extremely successful". But yes, you cannot look at this team in a vacuum. Their past factors in, and when compared to recent history, they've been very successful. I look at it as a process. Shwartz got them to respectable or .500, and now Caldwell has gotten them to competing for the north and into the playoffs. It remains to be seen if Caldwell (and Stafford) can take them to the next step. They still may need changes in coaches and/or QB to get there. It's definitely not complete.

Eruff, Did Green Bay have a soft schedule? If not , what was so much more difficult about it than Detroit's?

Eruff, Did Green Bay have a soft schedule? If not , what was so much more difficult about it than Detroit's? Yes, they did and how many of the GB fans have them winning only 8 games? The GB fans have expectations and they wasnt happy with the team start. Remember Rodgers telling the fans to calm down?
Compare the schedule but that's where it stops. GB would go out and compete for the division and home field even if they had a tougher schedule. The Lions would fold up like a cheap suit....

We're talking about this season where they played the same schedule except for two teams. You split with them and went 5-1 in division and they finished with one more win. They have just as much if not more talent than the Lions do. I'm not delusional, it's delusional to troll and giggle and post pictures of Wayne-o and 'rebuilding since 1957' logos when none of these players were on or a part of any of those teams. Then to keep saying they'll never do anything because they stumbled. If you want to blame the franchise go right ahead. Matthew Stafford and Jim Caldwell didn't lose the NFC Championship in 1991. They couldn't score on the final drive of a wildcard playoff game after an emotionally draining and momentum breaking non penalty in 2014. They aren't the first team and won't be the last in the NFL to ever do it.

Hey skillz did you hear that SOL won 11 games this season? That's pretty weird that that's SOL since I think only one other Lions team has ever done it. They didn't play anybody and can't do anything right so they're garbage though.
Now that GB team man they won 12 games and they're world beaters. I bet they win the Super Bowl!

They had an up and down year as well. Especially on offense and had to win a few games down the stretch with help from the Cards skid to get in let alone home field advantage.
