Face guarding is PI every week. Not according to the refs statement this evening. Lol Oh yeah. In that case. :D

Being outplayed in the second half leads to the Lions losing. The call was huge and yet the Lions had a chance to win and they go pass happy with over 2 mins to play. 20 carries against a terrible defense should be talked about more than the terrible PI call….. So in one statement you criticize the Lions for not scoring more against the 27th ranked pass defense, then you say they didn't run the ball enough? I see you still can't even get your own bullshit straight. So let's look at the numbers. Not counting the final drive of each half (2 minute drill drives where you are only passing) the Lions ran 29 plays in the first half and 19 in the 2nd half. In the first half the Lions ran 12 running plays and 17 pass plays. 1 of the pass plays resulted in an 8 yard run by Stafford, but it was a pass play that was called. In the second half the Lions called 9 running plays and 10 pass plays. So in the 2nd half they got MORE conservative and ran the ball at a HIGHER rate than in the first half.

no but a 10 point lead isnt a lot of points and yes the cowboys cleary dominated in the 2nd half especially da 4th quarter....... I don't think being given the fourth quarter and dominating it are the same thing. of course ya dont but outside of questionable calls they did remember we only got 1 fg........

I thought the Fez Bryant thing was way worse than the PI pick up actually. I noticed that right away.

1 fg in the 2nd half alone will not get it done fuck da refs and fuck anybody else who thinks it will....... Today with the D and the way they played it was. It wasn't ideal but today in that game it was enough to win. if thats the case being up 14 - 0 should have been enough.............they not da 85 bears or da 2000 ravens or any of da 70s steel curtain those defenses would have held up dont get it twisted

They shouldn't have given up the 76 yard TD. The go ahead TD wasn't on them.

I love All the dipshits that are saying that the Lions should have done more to win the game, or that if they scored more points- it would not be an issue, etc. all of these eruffian clowns seem to suddenly forget that the Lions were favored in this game by NO ONE. The Cowboys were a great team and killed good teams over their last 5 games, yet the Lions apparently should have done more. They didn't play well enough, etc. fûcking dumb. They played their ass off against one of the hottest teams in the NFL and couldn't afford to get fucked on penalties and still win. Hell, I don't think there is another team in the NFL that would have- not the Pats, Packers, Broncos, or Seahawks

I really thought the 4 & 1 10 yard punt was in the "should have done more" from a coaching, and punting standpoint.

For what it's worth- I don't completely fault Caudwell on punting. He had confident in his D and rightfully so. In fact, the Cowboys needed 3 penalties on the drive to keep it alive- all on 3rd down and watching the replays- Levy and Ansah got held on 2 plays as if they were sumo wrestling a polar bear- Ansahs coming on the TD and it was JUST enough to give Romo the split second to make the TD pass. Caudwell couldn't have known he was playing both Dallas and the Officials

I'm not going to blame the loss fully on the Refs but the fact that the biggest play and most discussed topic to stem from this game is bad calls is pathetic. These games are too fucking big to be discussing officials all the damn time, it's killing the game.

i'd like to see a lions special teams practice if ross is the guy they decide gives them the best chance to win each week.

A few things. It was definitely PI. I also noticed immediately when Dez ran on the field to argue the call. That actually stood out more. Should've been a unsportsmanlike.
Still it was 3rd and 1 on that play. I believe they should have run there and on 4th if they didn't get it. I like our chances of getting 1 yd on two tries. Especially the run game was pretty productive yesterday.
The pick coming out of halftime was big even though they missed the FG. The Lions had momentum, that pick killed it.
Hate to harp on officiating but it got much worse as the game closed. The oline was basically tackling our D. Especially Suh. One of his sacks he was held twice and still got the sack. We were getting so much pressure in the first half not nearly as much in the 2nd thanks to the blind eye turned to holding.

If anyone needed any more reason to hate Chris Carter, listed to him explain why the call was not pass interference.

Man, between Martin, Ross and the kicking debacle for the first 5 weeks, the lions special teams were a fucking trainwreck this year
