Congrats. My boss is 65 and is dragging his feet on retiring. He needs to gtfo. Although my life is pretty easy with him and I basically sharing responsibilities.

Congrats. What's the new gig? Thanks. Moving into our purchasing org. Does this mean more trips to China? And did you ever find a Pei Wei or Panda Express while you were over there?

Very few US chains there. Different than Japan. Brazil would be a cool trip. If I had to travel for business, I would rather do that than China. Time zones and travel time are not as much of a beating. I would be worried about the higher crime rate, though.

So my office is having a White Elephant exchange today. No big deal, right? Well the girl who organized it sent out an a file in her email that explained how a White Elephant exchange works, and this file included "other names" for a White Elephant exchange. She probably should've read these over before sending it out, as a couple of the suggested names include "Black Santa" or "Chinese Auction" along with some other not so PC terms.

I guess it would be interesting to go to South America. I've never been before. That's only about 2 trips per year. Pretty much in Michigan.

My New Year's resolution is to walk fast from here on out. You seem like a slow walker type. Maybe you need to wear heels?

Controller of the purchasing function, not an accounting controller. We buy $12b of shit ever year. We are a matrix org, finance is in all areas. Ops, engineering, etc. Thanks. I worked my ass off for it.
