Ah. You going to entertain an offer? The initial convo was for a position below my current pay scale, but after discussing my history and experience further, the recruiter referred me to his peer who recruits for director level roles. We'll see if it leads to anything. Well good luck with that kind sir.

Not sure if there's still an investment thread or not, but... All this chatter about taxing the gains on 529 accounts is pissing me off.. You make an education ridiculously expensive, the job market is dictating that you have a degree to make a decent living and then you want to punish those that are planning ahead? FUCK YOU

I cannot fucking wait until Obama is out...
The student loan interest rates have been asinine. I thought that would be the first thing the Liberals fix to help ensure there's equal opportunity for education for everybody without being in significant financial debt afterwards. I've been working on refinancing my wife's loans from 8.5% percent down to a whopping 6%. [rolling eyes]. It will save me about $90,000 in interest over the next 20 years. And it still costs me $1300 a month. My student loans from 2000 are still at 2%. My payment is $150 a month. I've thought about paying it off numerous times... But it's pretty much free money. I would kill to be able to stroke a check for the wife's right now.
Good thing she wants to go down to part time.
:shootme

Ie - a middle of no where City in Texas like Amarillo- of a ghetto community hospital in Detroit to qualify. I'm wishing we sucked it up and took the latter of the two, but relocating wasn't an option for me at the time.

Those interest rates are insane in this environment. The bank's only risk of default is death basically.

Im stunned that student loan interest rates are so high now, especially with the cost of higher education.

As of 2013, anyone earning between $40,187 and $65,501 is in the middle 20% of households. Anyone earning between $20,900 and $105,910 is in the middle 60% of households.
One popular rule of thumb holds that anyone earning 25% more or 25% less than the median is within the middle class. By that metric, households earning between $38,954 and $64,924 are middle-class.

According to those charts- I'm in the top 5%. In Florida- I'm barely middle class. Stupid class definitions are stupid.
