Never thought this would be the year for eagles.
Any way out of the patricia contract? This is going to be a disaster.

Best Pistons game I’ve seen in a year and a half.

Stan is just trying to save his job at this point. Drummond and Jackson are the ones that need to go. Absent owner leaves Stan to play Mad Scientist. That's what the headlines should read. What is too much in the NBA? I feel like the casual fans that listen to the Valenti narrative will never be happy. Im not even a Piston fan and I can see exactly why they would make a move like this. No mid-level AllStar player will ever sign to a small market team that hasn't won at a high level. Then we get the draft conversation which we all know is a damn crap shoot outside of the first 5 picks. SVG hasn't draft well and that's no debate, but I can name 25 other Gm's that are in the same boat. I have to agree with this. The Pistons weren't doing anything with the roster they had. The best hope is to do whatever you can to get a star and then hope you get lucky in the draft.

Izzo and Dantonio have nothing to do with Nasser but they definitely helped to create the environment where sexual assault is just boys being boys. Izzo and State's defense seems to be that Walton agreed to plea to a misdemeanor so we did nothing wrong. Sorry, but that doesn't change the fact that he punched a girl in the face twice. She has hospital records to back it up. Then Walton is accused of gang rape multiple times which wasn't reported through the proper Title IV channels and now Izzo doesn't recall why he left? It seems like the State athletic department thinks that if a player doesn't end up in jail, there should be no punishments for anything.
Do we have to turn to Magic Johnson for the proper response?
"If anyone was aware of the sexual assault happening to women on the MSU campus from the office of the President, Board of Trustees, athletic department, faculty & campus police, and didn’t say or do anything about it, they should be fired."

The mother of a teenage girl treated by Larry Nassar as recently as 2016 is still being billed by Michigan State University for appointments where the former MSU doctor sexually assaulted her.
Emily Ann Miller, 15, in her victim impact statement Monday at Nassar's sentencing hearing, said her last appointment with Nassar was in August 2016, shortly before he was fired by MSU.
She said her mother still is being billed for those appointments by the MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Well done Shartans

The best offensive play calling I’ve seen all year. A good coach can make any qb look good.

Anyone following the MSU Larry Nassar stuff? Pretty fucking awful Unbelievably horrible. And this piece of shit doesn't want to listen to all the victims this week! GTFOH! Her and Hollis hired a coach that consistently beats Michigan. Enabling a child rapist is acceptable behavior.

That Saints safety is gonna get run out of town. If that was the super bowl, it would have been as bad as Buckner. I didn’t think you could choke on a tackle.

I agree with you about Peters. He just doesn't seem to have it mentally and as a passer he's not all that impressive. Lewerke looked way better than Peters as a RS freshmen last year. The slide a yard short on 2nd and 2 on the last drive tells me everything I need to know about Peters.

It's a fund run by the big brokerage houses that allows you to make a tax deductible contribution to it that's irrevocable. You get a tax deduction in the year you contribute. Then you can direct the fund to distribute the money to the charities of your choice in future years. Google fidelity donor advised fund for more information. It's being used this year because due to the higher standard dedcution next year (24k vs 12k for married couples) and state tax limitation most people won't be itemizing in the future. Therefore you get no tax benefit from charitable contributions. By using the DAF in 2017, you get a big deduction in 2017. If you are going to contribute 1,000 per year 2018 through 2022, you would contribute $5000 to the DAF this year and get the tax benefit at your marginal tax rate. Then you still can distribute 1,000 per year over the next 5 years out of the fund. IOW, brokerage house holds your money, earns interest, while you take a deduction for the principal, but not the interest. You can invest in funds of your choice then you can donate your contribution plus the untaxed earnings. In the case of fidelity, they get a .6% fee or 100 whichever is greater per year. If you hold the money personally, you would get taxed on the earnings and get no deduction.

Taxmaster’s yearend advice: contribute your next 5-10 years of contributions to a donor advised fund. Donate appreciated securities if possible. Can do this in one day if you have a Fidelity or Schwab brokerage account. What is a donor advised fund?
