It's definitely interesting- but it kind of drags on a bit. The sub stories are just ok

As one who isn't a comic book nerd, nor do I know any "true" stories for any of these characters (be it from tv shows, movies, marvel, dc, this story arc/that story arc) it's fun and entertaining. Those uber comic peeps pick all this stuff apart and I prefer just to enjoy.

The fanboys detest it. I've read the comics and have seen the movies/tv shows and I still like it. Everyone new who starts something is going to use artistic license to try and get viewers. The events of this show don't closely follow comic origins from what I know.

And I'm okay with that; the artistic license. Just hope it keeps going. The last show I got involved with like this, was Terminator: Sarah Conner Chronicles and it got cancelled way too damn soon. I hope I'm not bad luck.

I hope I'm not bad luck. I watched that too. Barbara Gordon being a lesbian; Selina Kyle, Ivy, and Bruce Wayne knowing each other as kids; Jim Gordon working guard duty at Gotham. It's probably just a scratch to what's new here but it's working. I read Jeremy Irons said the new Alfred he's playing will be more kick add like the one in Gotham.

Yeah, the back stories on the characters are what I'm liking the best. Selina and Enigma the most.
And as for Gordon's guard duty stint, can't wait for that story arc to start.

Love the show. Don't mind the changes from the comics/movies.
The girl they have playing Selina Kyle has the younger version look down for Michelle Pfeiffer's Selina Kyle.

Anyone still on board with this show? The Ol' Lady talked me into watching it with her. I was reluctant because I don't have faith in U.S. shows pacing themselves correctly. I was worried that the writers would drag their feet so they can stretch the series out for 15 years, then rush the story along when the ratings aren't quite adequate for a broadcast network and the brass starts getting nervous.
That said, I've enjoyed the show for the most part. For an ensemble, the casting is great. Even at its weakest moments, the show plays like a decent cop procedural.

As Pollux said, it seems to be getting better over time as they develop the characters.

here is the video of the supposedly first glimpse of the Joker....I think they laugh gives it away...the creators and producers aren't saying if it is or isn't
I gave up on it at the mid season break, but if they introduce this character, I'm willing to give it a chance

On a few week break now, with 4 episodes to go starting back up in April. I've enjoyed it.
I took a gamble and read a few message boards related just to the show and man, people get their panties in a bunch so quick. Comic geeks on one side going all apeshit about "things aren't right or that isn't how it happened" and the other side yelling if you don't like it why are you watching/commenting on a forum about it and leave us alone.
I was hoping to get some insight on a few names that have popped up; because I'm not a comic geek and wanted to know their "story" if it was a name that appeared in past comics/books/story arcs. Boy was that a mistake.

There are different arcs and many people are allowed to take an artistic license with all types if different characters all the time. What names are you curious about?

I didn't know anything about Dr. Dulmacher or Kristen Kringle. Google clued me in what arc Dollmaker is all about, but wasn't much help really on Kringle. But that's okay. I still enjoy NOT knowing. There was another name early on in one of the first few episodes, but don't remember which one it was. Might have been one of the cops...or government officials. Name kept popping up and it sounded familiar.

And that's fine with me. When a character keeps re-appearing, I google to find any back story if I didn't know something about him/her.

Back from hiatus tonight. Shows are getting way too many these days. I could see if whatever channel was broadcasting the Olympics or something otherwise it's obnoxious.

I'm letting the last 4 (starting with the show on the 13th) get picked up by the DVR first; then watch them all at once.
Will be a long time until season 2 starts in September.
