I hear a lot people love wow. It's only gone out one day over the two years I've had it. Sometimes it gets bogged down during prime movie streaming times.

If you remember all of the shit I used to post on the old board about Comcast, you know I had a lot of issues. I'm having similar issues with Direc TV. I've decided it's not them. It's me. The guy installed the system for three rooms. When he was showing me how to work it, the sound stopped working and he said there was a problem with the HDMI port. It's a long story but I was on the verge having them come out for a third time in 3 months to replace that dvr. They made comcast's customer service look great in comparison. The last lady before I requested a cancellation told me I needed to call vizio to find out if my week old tv was compatible with their dvr.

I've been cable free for about 8 months. It's doable but only with a cable login from someone else

That's like saying you're car free but have to borrow someone's car to get around.

That's like saying you're car free but have to borrow someone's car to get around. Some of the apps require a login. The broadcast networks will let you watch a week after something airs without it but a lot of the cable networks won't let you watch anything without a cable login. I've been trying to do cable free for a couple of months now. Somebody gave us a digital receiver and I'm not sure if it's a crappy one or just the area we live in. It cuts out and loses signal a lot and most of the 'locals' I get are from Toledo. I don't get a FOX affiliate at all. I get channel 7, CBS 62, and an NBC out of Toledo. Along with PBS and what must be HD channels from the other stations.

The one from Toledo did that. It went out one day and didn't come back. Out of the two it had better reception.

Nice of directv to increase my bill $8 a month. Now paying $172 for satellite and internet with no pay stations. Am a I crazy to consider switching to comcast? It would save me $750 a year for two years on their new customer deal.

Of course comcast goes out for half the country after I type that. That's probably a sign.

It would save me $750 a year for two years on their new customer deal. I would in a heart beat. That's insane. The only reason I've tolerated DTV is because of the NFL Sunday Ticket. Ever since they merged my ATT and DTV bills... My average bill has been $440-$480 a month. I've called and bitched and changed some things, but it's not going down. I'm giving them 1 more month to rectify it and then may just say fuck it and go cable free. I just need AMC, HGTV, ESPN, B1G, HBO, TNT/TBS, Disney and local stations. Fuck the rest of the nonsense.

Lol you pay 500 a month for cable. My god. Cell and cable I used to pay about $160 a month for the cell phone for the wife and I... And $120 for DTV. Both of them crept up significantly over s couple years to about $180 and $160 respectively. Then I combine my bills and they shoot to $440+ a month? WTF

Oh and when you call customer service- one says "sorry, we can't access the DTV side" and vice versa for ATT... So you get stuck in customer service limbo and realize you wasted 2 hours on the phone and accomplished nothingn
