HIIT is good because sprinting builds muscle which burns more calories. It all comes down to calories in/out. What Aaugusti posted isn't HIIT because 6mph isn't likely high intensity. You have to be going balls out or it's just interval training, which is fine if you're looking to control your heart rate and increase the duration of your workout.

Not to get off topic but I made a post responding to mtdman regarding HIIT and it's not here today. I know it posted yesterday so I was wondering what happened to it? I don't think there was anything in there worth deleting by Mods. Not a big deal by any means. Because I tried to reply to it, but hit edit, not quote. I tried to delete the response, but accidentally deleted the entire post. Total screw up on my part.

I don't mind the weight on my shoulders. I just hate the actual squatting part. I'd rather do a leg sled, but I don't have room for that in my basement.

Treadmill finally arrived yesterday. I need to start doing squats also. I hate running with sore legs though.

Weather has been nice the last few days. Back on the bike yesterday, and will head out again today. Nice change from walking.
Still need to get a new bike. Incentive bonus should arrive end of February or Early March, so the time is near...
Still have to decide on what, but getting closer to the decision.

The decision to have things like 5000 calorie Friday and 2 big Mac lunches were not a great bulking idea.
I hit 133 on a scale today

72 miles for January. Lost a week because of a broken treadmill. Bayshore half training starts in February.

Working 3 straight 12 hour days with one meal a day plowing snow, lost 12 lbs. Crazy shit. Sore as fuck, and I've gotta work again in the am.

It's been a week since we wrapped up that big snow storm work. I'm still fucking worn out as hell, haven't lifted all week. Went for a walk at the metro park today for a couple hours, so that's something. Having a hard time motivating myself to lift though.
