I got a Google Chromecast for Christmas so we've restarted out Netflix subscription since it's pretty much a worthless item without it. The selection of movies for streaming is very underwhelming.

Wrapped up Jessica Jones just before Christmas on Netflix and it was pretty good. Needed something new to watch so I started watching Fringe. I didn't watch it when it originally aired partly because I thought it'd be a lame rip off of the X-Files. I like it so much I'm kicking myself for looking past it. I'm starting season two as of last night.

My wife talked me into watching Making a Murderer. I probably wouldn't have watched it otherwise. It was almost all one sided info but I have to say Steven Avery got a raw deal. I don't see how there was no reasonable doubt. The only physical evidence was from a contaminated DNA test and the defenses whole case was reasonable doubt after reasonable doubt. I guess it could have been the blood evidence from the car that swayed the jury but I think the conveniently timed FBI test was pretty well disputed.
So many things were mishandled he should have received a new trial on appeal. From the handling of the searches to officers who were told to stay away participating and then finding most of the key evidence that was not seen on numerous previous searches. Locking down the property for 8 days on one warrant was agregious, the obviously coerced confessions of the nephew were very disturbing. Especially with his public defenders colluding with the prosecution to coerce them.
The nephew at the very least should have got a new trial after the post conviction hearing exposed the collusion to coerce a confession which was all recorded on video. He should have never stood trial to begin with. The very first confession should have been tossed.
If that's what goes for a confession these days I hope I'm never in any type of trouble. This series exposed how broken the system is in my opinion. Once the police decide you're the guy it's very hard to change their minds. In this case it's very probable they went out of their way to make sure Avery was going to be found guilty no matter what.

The best part about that show is how he's guilty.

The best part about that show is how he's guilty. Based on the evidence I don't think he did it.

Nor does anyone that watched that show. The great part about the show is how it gets a bunch of people cattling to a conclusion. It's sort of funny that way. But he did it.

There is nothing really new in that article. Nothing compelling either. Hr may have done it but should have never been found guilty. That kid got fucked.

It's geared for people that just believe what they're told. That's not like me. I don't disagree with anything the article you linked says. The writer draws many of the same conclusions that I did. I said that based on the evidence I dont think he did it. Meaning that like the writer presented he should not have been convicted based on the trial. If I was sitting on that jury and I was objective I couldn't have voted guilty based on the trial. The problem is Avery had already been convicted in the media before the trial.

I understand not liking the process, but please remove it from a guy that killed a woman.

It's an interesting theory though very improbable. Unless that was Edwards in the shot behind Krantz.

I think he's probably guilty. You'd have to be extremely stupid to leave bones in your backyard and the car on the property, but I'm pretty sure he's extremely stupid. The series lost a lot of credibility when it turned out that there is always a hole in those blood test tubes because it's how they extract the blood for testing. They never mentioned that in the series.
