Cavs are fixed now. Got JR lol. JR was just a throw in but he is basically the same as Waiters, just bigger and better. Shumpert is who they wanted. He will fill the role that Wiggins would've this yr, a good perimeter defender, so LBJ doesn't have to check the best opposing perimeter player.

I'm not saying Kentucky would beat the Knicks but it wouldn't take a ton of points for me to bet on them.

Cavs are really struggling. Remember when everyone was saying that Love and Irving were so much better than Wade and Bosh?

Lebron has 1 year contract right? I bet he bolts next year.

So Love only plays 8 mins in the 2nd half and none in the 4th on the heels of Blatt's "max player" comments. That trade was a complete disaster. He is bouncing after the season. I wouldn't be surprised if the Cavs try and trade him though I think it would be REALLY difficult to get even a decent deal for him.

Is there a petition I can sign to make the NBA change the playoff format. Two teams out of the Pelicans, Thunder and Suns won't make the playoffs. But either the Cavs, Bucks or Heat will be a goddamn five seed in the East.

@billsimmons: I can't believe this is true, but it's true: Anthony Davis's current PER (31.9) would be the best of all-time. t.co/lS0LuUdfNg

And for some strange reason, the Pels don't even feature him on offense.
I love the Brow and he is an incredible player but that kinda cements what I think about PER.

I think Simmons is right and it's more of a condemnation on his coach/organization than it is on PER.

It's not perfect but these are the 10 guys that have played at least 600 minutes with the highest PER this year:
Davis Durant Harden Westbrook Curry James Cousins Paul Griffin Thompson
That's a pretty true snapshot of who the best players are in the league right now.

Adding the minute limit helps it for sure. So many seem to use it as a call for a guy to get more minutes though. That is where I have more of a problem with it. A guy has a nice PER in 10 minutes/gm does not mean that he should play 30 mins/gm.

Why are all these nba guys dying young lately? Letting themselves go after they stop playing. Mase was as big as a house.
