FF said teams that have Suh only win in spite of him. You said you don't like the situation Suh has put the Lions in, like he's done something wrong. He's pretty much done everything right Sorry I have to explain this to you General. You use in spite of when you are mentioning something that surprisingly does not prevent something else from being true. He's a good player. His talent outweighs his poor attitude. He's a rare talent that can get away with that. I don't believe talent alone demands what he's expecting to get paid. He wants Watt money. Watt is a leader and does everything he can to make his team better. Taking up an extra lineman on a double team doesn't make you a team leader just somebody who has to be dealt with on Sunday afternoon.

@general Do you need examples? He had several opportunities in the offseason to sign a JJ Watt level extension (or, at the very least renegotiated his current deal) which would have opened up some much needed cap relief for the Lions, and given the Lions some security that their franchise defensive player wasn't going anywhere. But instead, he dawdled around with picking a new agent for months, and when he got one, he wouldn't come to the table. Since training camp, there have now been 3 instances about him and free agency.
You said he's done everything right, and he has... for himself. Here's "the situation" Suh has put the Lions in: either he's going to force the Lions to franchise tag him at 27 million for next season (which would be insane) or he's going to hit the open and some desperate team like the Jets or Raiders will offer him $20 million per year that the Lions will have to match or lose him for nothing. There is no debate that the Lions would have paid him more than fairly for his services (see Calvin and Stafford's contracts), but he didn't want to come to the table last year.
Again, there's nothing wrong with that... It's his choice and I know he and his agent can sniff the payday. But I don't have to like it as a Lions fan, regardless of his caliber as a player.

The cited examples lead to the conclusion that he has no interest in being here to me. It's a contract year so he's not going to screw around on the field. He may be playing his best ball this season. Not for the ring so much as for the potential $$$.

I don't get the "suh brand" thing. Does he do a lot of commercials? He has the personality of a steaming turd...not very likable or charismatic. Don't get what he's branding.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I thought the same thing, he would get killed in NY so what is the point of trying to get in a bigger media city? Detroit is probably his best shot, maybe Philly or Dallas, or god forbid Oakland

The Lions look like a rich rod at Michigan defense right now, can't tackle, over pursue, and just dumbfuckery everywhere

I'm so close to just checking out of this game. I'm so sick of this same old lions meltdown/missed opportunity.

These 20 yard cushions on 3rd and 3 look like Michigan's DBs.

Why do all these games have to be like this? Why can't we have one game were we win comfortably from the beginning?
