So you don't think he'll be asked the rest of the season? Good luck with that. He's been trying all year to not talk about it. You think saying "No comment" was going to have him asked less than what he will now? He's walked out and not answered questions in the past. What's different now. Big bad Suh can't handle a few questions? What a pussy. Just like he looked like a big pussy on that American Muscle show with Mike Barwis, when Deitrich Smith walked in.

What would have made you happy? Him come out and say Fuck Detroit, I'm out!!! They're in the playoff hunt. No matter what he does, he's wrong. He appears to be trying to minimize the distraction. Why does it matter anyway? No one expects him to resign with Detroit. You have what, a month left to see him in a Luons uniform...

I think he's a piece of shit, and any team would win in spite of him, because he is a piss poor leader. I wish we would have gotten something for him, that's all. I was just pointing out what a douche he is.

I would have liked for the Lions to explore trading him but that didnt happen. I think he's gone after this season. He's going to NY. It's what he thinks he needs to do to promote his brand.

You guys are entitled to your opinions, but just realize you're fucking idiots, and that claiming that teams win in spite of Suh is the dumbest thing anyone has said on this board or SI

I mean, the guy has only had one of the better 5-year runs for a DT in league history, but sometimes he's standoff-ish and a bit of a jerk, so that means he's complete garbage and totally a negative to the team. Even though he requires double teams every single play that he often destroys anyway.

I just think he's a selfish prick. He's not the first, nor the last.

The Lions are going to franchise him. The Salary Cap is going up by more than what the raise in the cap number will be.

What makes him "selfish," that he takes up 2 or sometimes 3 offensive lineman and doesn't leave enough for his teammates? Also he's not actually letting his agent decide where he signs this offseason, only idiots believe that. It's just his way of deflecting, and it's fine.

It's amazing to listen to people who want to cut Suh because he has a bad attitude... But are clamoring that we need to try and sign AP if is cut by Minnesota. Dip shit hypocrisy at its finest.

You want to know why I call him selfish and a jerk, here you go: 1. Suh was penalized for unnecessary roughness and ejected from the game.[44] The resulting penalty gave the Packers an automatic first down. The Packers would score a touchdown two plays later, giving them a 14–0 lead and an eventual 27–15 victory.2. On November 29, the NFL suspended Suh for two games without pay. 3. In the Lions' Week 1 victory over the Minnesota Vikings, 34–24, Suh low blocked John Sullivan during a DeAndre Levy "pick 6"; the resulting personal foul nullified Levy's touchdown.

Yea sometimes he commits a penalty. He's the worst.
Also explain to me how trying to block for a defensive player after an interception so he can help him score is selfish?

I'm not taking his side in the argument but wasn't that block uneccesary and away from the play? Again, I don't think anyone who wanted to trade Suh is suggesting that he isn't a great football player. For me, I don't like the situation he has now put the Lions in because the Lions have made it known from the beginning that they will PAY him if he wants to stay. Instead, he's decided to take the franchise to the cliff edge and shake them down for every last penny he can get until he ups and leaves for bigger pastures. When posed the question about next year, he could have said "I'm focused on Minnesota, I'll deal with the offseason when the time comes." or even a simple "No comment" would have sufficed. But Suh is a smart guy with the media and he's continuing to stir up the free agency story to create an ESPN-Lebron watch type of frenzy if he hits Free Agency. And if the Lions do place the franchise tag on him, well, he'll happily continue down this path of stringing the Lions along, making passive aggressive comments about his future, and making 26 million dollars next year alone.

Someone brought up that he never misses practice, I'd rather he miss more practices than games throughout his career.

All he has done to put the Lions in this "situation" is play great, and thus he will get paid handsomely for it. Apparently you're mad at him for playing out his contract and weighing all options before deciding instead of committing to the Lions early in the process, and potentially cost himself millions of dollars by doing so? All of you guys should try tapping into more than 5% of your brain before posting.

You quoted me here so I'm guessing you have an issue with that. I can see his side and yours. I feel somewhere inbetween. Thanks for providing the play. Levy was to the house when the block was thrown.

All of you guys should try tapping into more than 5% of your brain before posting. I'm not mad at him for wanting to playing out his contract and hit the open market. We all understood that was his main goal the day he signed his rookie contract that would let him get to FA in 4 years. I'm not even mad that he (assumedly) wants to leave Detroit. I don't care if he wants to squeeze out every penny from a team or if he wants to "promote his brand" or some bullshit like that. All I said was that I would have traded him last offseason so they could have at least gotten a return for him and have more financial flexibility moving forward instead of signing him to an albatross of a contract because of the open market or franchise tag. You then parlayed it into straw-man arguments calling everyone who wanted to seem him traded "fucking idiots who think the Lions win in spite of Suh" and then championing Suh for "playing out his contract," like he isn't the one making it a talking point that he's going to be a free agent... Again, there no debate about how dominate he can be on the football field. The difference is, you want to paint him as a good soldier just keeping his head down and doing his job, and I see him as a fucking mercenary.

So you're fix- is to remove him from the team so they can win? Brilliant

He's pretty much done everything right Sorry I have to explain this to you General. You use in spite of when you are mentioning something that surprisingly does not prevent something else from being true. He's a good player. His talent outweighs his poor attitude. He's a rare talent that can get away with that.
