My wife likes that show Girls. I can't stand that chick, mostly because she always has to be naked on the show. My wife has been watching the latest season on demand lately. I'm sad that I have to know about this show via her watching habits. Adam is a great character

Anyone watching The Night Of on HBO? The damn free hbo weekend got me to sign up for $18/month. What is this show? 8 part crime drama series. Basically a long Law & Order with good actors. From creators Steven Zaillian and Richard Price, The Night Of is an eight-part limited series that delves into the intricate story of a fictitious murder case in New York City. The series follows the police investigation and legal proceedings, all the while examining the criminal justice system and the purgatory of Rikers Island, where the accused awaits his trial. The Night Of stars John Turturro and Riz Ahmed and was directed by Steven Zaillian and James Marsh. It is executive produced by Zaillian, Price, Jane Tranter, James Gandolfini, and Peter Moffat; co-executive produced by Garrett Basch, Nancy Sanders and Mark Armstrong. Filmed in and around Manhattan, the HBO series is based on the BBC’s “Criminal Justice,” created by Peter Moffat.

I think CBS is killing the new Star Trek series by trying to force viewers to subscribe to their streaming service in order to see it. The first episode will be broadcast on CBS but afterwards you're out of luck. I like Star Trek and I'm excited that they're finally starting another series but I'm not going to subscribe just to see it. I don't watch anything else that would justify subscribing. I'll just end up waiting and seeing if it goes to Netflix.

Finally caught up on The Night Of. Love this series. The prison part reminds me of Oz.

I feel like it is good but infuriating. The ineptitude of everyone involved is maddening. Also making box look like a good guy all series then having him become a cunt as soon as he hits the witness stand is infuriating.

Think of all the weird scenes they could come up with and there wouldn't be any sensors prohibiting the creativity.

Gold Rush starts on Friday. Looks like more stupidity from Todd this season.

I love that Gold Rush show.
I found a new HBO show I dig. High Maintenance. It's been around as a web series for a while. I couldn't stop watching that yesterday, they had a marathon during the afternoon.

It's based around a dude that sells pot, but he's barely in it. It's mostly about his customers or the people around them. Really interesting stories about people (and animals).

My daughter likes gold rush. That's the only reason I watch this at all. I like spending Saturday night with her watching an awful show. Its more scripted now than ever. Oak Island seems almost as scripted as this show.
