Outside Wisconsin... The rest of the B1G got a tough draw today. 7 seed for MSU... 10 for OSU... Purdue 9... Maryland got a 2... Indiana 10 and Iowa 7.
Im shocked MSU only snagged a 7 seed. Either way, they are going to be the underdog in most their brackets.

State was lucky to get a 7. they were staring at an 8-9 before the last two days. They only have one win over RPI top 25.
They are in the easiest bracket, if they can beat virginia, could go on a run

I wonder what percent of brackets will have Kentucky compared to what percent had unc in 2009

They are in the easiest bracket, if they can beat virginia, could go on a run I would have thought they would have gotten a better seed just based off of history alone. Even when Duke is having a down year, that always end up being a seed or two higher than they should.

I don't think the historical seeding plays as much any more

They'll be back next year. No one loses their two best players and does anything

Not seeing much next year. Disagree... They had a chance to beat 2 of the top seeds in Villanova and Wisky and played every other team tough this year outside a bad game against AZ and OSU. Sadly, this team just didn't have that go to guy... The closer that could put the team on their shoulders when the offense got stagnant... Like Stauskas, Tres or even a Morris in the past. They are only losing Max at this point and Spike is the only player (who wasn't hurt) this year with more than a year of experience. Their main rotation was 5 freshman, a sophomore and a junior. I think we'll see big improvement next year.

I think Walton getting hurt had no real impact on the team. Spike played about to his caliber.

Irvin improved a ton over the course of the year. Spike is a game manager... Not a play maker. He is not someone a team has to strategically defend. Beatlejuice has way more explosion than he does. IF Walton can learn to facilitate the offense better (his shot selection was hot fûcking garbage for a PG...) and if his foot was really the reason his shot (including layups) was off... His upside is WAY higher than Spikes. I do buy into the impact of the foot injury fwiw. I've had turf toe since college and it is an absolute mother fucker. Hawkins and Muhammed improved a ton over the year too. Both are primed for strong sophomore campaigns.
The wild cards will be Donnal and Doyle. Neither seems to show much promise,

I think we are kinda fucked if Levert leaves though. That's a scenario where I really don't see us much better.

they played a ton of freshmen.. I dont see a scenario where they arent better. I guess how much better is the question. And yes, if Levert leaves, I think they'll be decent ( a tourney team), but probably scratch the thought that they'll contend for big ten
