This has gotta suck if you are on this team... Yeah, that is awful. There was a vid of the team asking the president questions. Extremely emotional and tough to watch at times. The players were pissed and the pres basically DGAF but tried to act like he cared.

Take the money, and then shut it down in January.

Schools swear that they don't make money on bowl games. They are shutting the program down due to money so I know they aren't going to put up the money to get them to a bowl game. Really bad situation

Easier to expand from here. It will go to 6 or 8 quickly. I can see six, team 7 and 8 both had two losses and had no legit claim to any title. This is the rare year that six teams had a legit claim. Most seasons 4 will be enough, it not too much.

I like the final 4. Seems like the best 4.
The B12 is stupid, I'm glad they're left out of it.

The instability factor with the conferences just got blown up again with the decision to dump TCU and Baylor out of the playoff. The B12 wants a championship game again. Or will the NCAA eliminate the rule that you have to have 12 teams to hold a conf. champ game?
Delany should poach Texas and Oklahoma now and beat the Christmas rush.

Yeah I have no idea what the purpose of that rule is.

I like that the first round is on New Years Day. It makes those bowls on that day relevant again. For so long with the BCS champ being played on Jan 9 or whatever it made all the NYD bowls irrelevant. Teams have to win that day to move on and those games will be important games again.

Agree with that. Especially when they started spreading them out where it was one every night after NYD.

It would be nice to see some upsets that day as well.

Delany should poach Texas and Oklahoma now and beat the Christmas rush. That would require the B1G to do some forward thinking, and all they seem to be interested in is shoring up the East Coast which is stupid. See their decision to move the B1G Basketball Tourney to MSG in 2018. But I'm getting side tracked. If the B1G wants to do more than just make their network money they should look west and pick up some of the power teams in the Midwest that have been successful in recent years...adding Oklahoma would add instant cred to the conference going up against the SEC. Adding Texas won't happen...the LHN is a license for UT to print money and they won't be getting rid of it for a conference. They feel they can go the ND route and be independant before having to join a conference that won't let them keep their channel. So for the B1G to be relevant in football again they need to pick up OU (good athletics/football, quality university academically, and it gives the Huskers their rival back) and then who else? Kansas is a good basketball school but I'm not sure how good their academics are, and while I would love for the B1G to get into Texas and get a team I'm not sure any of the teams are really worth adding unless they're UT. Add Ok State perhaps?

I got Bama by 3, and Oregon by 17 in the Final Four Oregon by 2 scores, the Saban buzz saw cuts Uncle Urb before halftime and sends him to the hospital with more 'heart problems'.

Oregon vs. Ohio State in the Final Four. The Ducks finally get over the hump and win it all.
I hope the Buckeyes whip Bama . . . .

Wow, Wisconsin head coach Gary Anderson agrees to take the Oregon State job. That seems like a step backward.

Wow, Wisconsin head coach Gary Anderson agrees to take the Oregon State job. That seems like a step backward. @espnrittenberg: "Wisconsin’s academic policies for getting players in had to play huge part in Andersen’s decision. Had been extremely frustrated." also from Bruce Feldman: "Had heard Gary Andersen had been very interested in getting out of #Wisconsin. Thought it may've been for UF or even MIchigan. Good hire OSU"

If he was coming to Michigan- he'd be a bust and lose carries to a walk on.
Now that he's going to OSU- he'll be the next Archie Griffin
