Joe Nathan still sucks, too. I really hope he gets cut. Not looking forward to another year with him.

I dont think theyre going to pay him 10 mil or whatever to sit on the couch. I bet he's the closer. Take it for what its worth, but ive heard ausmus and dombrowski say they think 2014 was a fluke as far as how bad the bullpen personnel were

Tigers with a 5-4 win today after building a 5-0 lead. Castellanos with a HR, and solid pitching from Sanchez, VerHagen, and Krol.

The Tiger homer at work has crossed the point of no return. He is now apologizing for Joe Nathan. Nathan has been very good the last two games. That clearly erases everything else he's done since he got here. He said they won't bring that up on the radio. He was pissed when I told him that topic was the first thing I heard on the radio this morning. He says this whole thing with Nathan sucking was created by the radio media to get ratings. He sits at his desk and reads sports articles all day. He doesn't believe information is credible unless it came from a beat writer. I'll be dealing with this until the last game of the season.

Flipped over to the game on FSD to catch a glimpse on how Vmart and Miggy look. Only saw Vmart's second at bat, but he looks terrible. That knee is nowhere near ready. He looks like he can't swing the bat freely. No weight shift. They're screwed if he stays like that.

He hit a homer the day before in a backfield game...I think he'll be good to go in a few weeks. The number one rule in spring training - If a player looks bad, it's because he's working on something. If he looks good, he's poised to have a huge year. This is the only time of year where you're allowed to be blindly optimistic.

Verlander will never be the dominate MVP, imo...But I do believe he will be good this year...from reading, anyway, he is working a lot on his slider..Which right now is a below average pitch...

Probably reading too much into it, but he's nowhere near ready.

Verly exits the game with triceps cramp per Sportscenter.
Not good with the start of the season getting close.

Verly exits the game with triceps cramp per Sportscenter. Not good with the start of the season getting close. A friend of mine writes for one of the publications, and he said that he had it on good authority that JV didn't want to pitch in the rain, and embellished the cramp a bit.

That's better but Asmus should just have pulled him if Verly wanted out. Shouldn't have to fake/exaggerate an injury in the preseason.
