He was drafted by the QB coach. The Spartan Troll told me a while ago some shit about knowing someone on Morris's street who said they were pissed off that Malzone was told by Hoke that the job was his to lose. Morris supposedly doesn't have the work ethic to reach his potential. I thought that was just bullshit. Now it looks like it may be legit. One or two of these QBs has to transfer. Was talking with my friend the other day, and we both agreed that the guy who starts at QB in Game 1 is probably not currently on this roster. Could be Rudock, could be Gentry, but I don't think it'll be Malzone, Morris, or Speight. Meh, I'll never be mad at Hart for that stuff, because he never lost to MSU, and always kicked their ass when he played against them. 2004 - 33 attempts, 224 yards, 1 TD, 5 catches for 19 yards 2005 - 36 attempts, 218 yards, 1 TD, 2 catches for 6 yards 2006 - 22 attempts, 122 yards, 1 catch for 10 yards 2007 - 15 attempts, 110 yards

Word is that Morris is looking the best in drills, but once they are in game situations he looks bad.

Sounds like the Big Ten is approving Rudock's transfer. Nice to have a guy who has actually thrown a TD in college.

I want no part of Sugar this year.

He's a 5th year senior, maybe Iowa just liked the young guy more. That doesn't necessary mean the guy sucks. Plus, we don't even play Iowa this year. I think that was a factor. Iowa isn't O$U.

They might not evalute them on stats but no chance a school lets a stud go to an in conference school. Un conference transfers don't happen the fact that both iowa and the B1G were ok with it should show that he sucks balls

I think our best bet next year is that we can get someone in there that isn't going to fuck up 5 times a game in a major way. I don't expect Rudock to be great, but I think he's got a better shot at being serviceable/good than Sugar or any of the freshman.

Gentry or bust. Four year starter like chenne (I think chenne rocked 4 years)

Big gumpy ass white boys are the way of the future I think Rudock is pretty mobile actually. Hell, if Gentry or someone else beats him out, I'm fine with it (and I really doubt Harbaugh would play someone just because he's a 5th year - he has 15 QBs on roster for a reason). I just need a defined floor. I can't watch Devin Gardner turnover machines anymore. Just can't deal with it.

Here is the more rational day after text regarding jake from Iowa
And the Jake Rudock (pronounced ROO-dock) thing-- he is a good kid I think, but he got pissed because he was passed on the depth chart by a younger kid. If he has great talent around him, I think there's hope for him. If not, be ready for a season of checkdowns to runs, horizontal passes and sacks.

And yeah jake is a game manager for sure

I think we were looking at a qb season like dickrod's (pronounced DICK-rod) first year without rudock. This at least avoids that.

Well, at least these QB's will have a stable of 5 star upper classman lineman to protect them...

Huge crowd today. Morris has such a good arm. Hope his head catches up to it at some point this year. I'd almost rather have peppers on offense just to give that side of the ball a chance. O line looked brutal as usual.
