Solid win last night against a bad Dallas team.
Wings are now 1 pt behind the Habs and 4 pts behind Stevie Y's Lightning squad for the division lead, with a game in hand on both.
Stephen Weiss with 9 points in his last 6 games since returning to action and the young guns continue to roll.

The wings thread gets much more run when we struggle and people call for holland and babcocks head. This is rebuild number two without missing a playoff. This team has legit young talent with 3 that could be stars and the biggest prospect since Z and Pav.

Here is my CSB. Drew miller lives two doors down and our dogs have been playing for awhile, well Tatar has moved somewhere in the ville and loves my dog, so I am working out a puppy for a consistent ticket hook up.
Last time I had a good ticket hookup was when I was 22-23 and running the best but in Southfield. The playstation 3 and xbox 360 came out and I would hold them for wings and pistons.
Pavel and I used to get down on FIFA and he would always leave tickets. Then I left best buy for a big boy job and slowly the hookups left. So I'm pretty excited to get Tatar a puppy and have a line on wings tickets again. I have decided in my old age that the palace is just too damn far away

Not sure how the Wings playing well right now has any impact on the growing speculation that Babcock and Holland don't get along any more. Still think Babcock is the next Leafs coach no matter what the Wings do this year.

That's a good point. I went to one game last year because Ma$e was the halftime show and I had free tix. I couldn't believe tht I would make that drive 15-20 times a season

I think Jurco is the most likely to be a star. I dont see sheahan being much of a scorer.

But i can see where you would say that as Sheahan has 5 goals and 9 assists and Jurco has 2 goals and 8 assists? You dont see a lot of guys with Sheahans combo of size, speed, and playmaking ability. Plenty of Jurcos in the nhl.

Rangers were leaning all over the Wings in the 1st, yet the home team figured out a way to hang in there and scratch out a win. Was cool to see them get through a whole heap o' penalty trouble in the 3rd and hold a 1 goal lead. Kinda refreshing to see a healthy team again.

Wings on a roll! I like the makeup of this team....and I ran into Zetterberg at Whole Foods the other day. He was with his Swedish model wife. :D

The kids have taken another step forward. Tatar and Nyquist are tied with Datsyuk for the team lead in goals. The D has been good. Special teams have been great, but the big difference is Jimmy Howard. He is having a great year. Giving the wings a chance to win every night.

I watch most games on TV but the arena often looks half empty. Anybody know how they have actually been drawing this year? This is a fun team to watch and I have been wondering if people have actually been showing up

I've been to 4 games this year, and the Joe is usually around 80% full. The lower-bowl usually has a much higher % of empty seats compared to the upper bowl, so it looks worse than it really is on TV.

I really like the Tatar/Datsyuk pairing Babcock has been rolling with lately... Their styles compliment each other well: Tatar takes a lot of chances and isn't afraid to shoot the puck, and Datsyuk is still the best passer in the NHL.

as long as pav and hank are healthy, the wings can play with anyone ( this coming from a habs fan ). I like their depth up front, the depth on D would be my concern

Been very impressed that Brendan Smith has taken a solid step forward this year.

This is a fun team to watch and I have been wondering if people have actually been showing up I was at the Dallas game and people showed up for that game. I think the upper deck is usually going to be more filled in than the lower level seats because all the businesses grab those seats and then no one ever uses them. It's a bloody shame.

Was there too. Noticed same thing about the upper bowl.

Just thought I would post a requisite "LETS GO RED WINGS!!!" and "Six-ty Sev-en!" in preparation for the game
