No punt return TD, no botched handoffs, no missing wide open receivers. No kickoff out of bounds. First guy MAKE the fucking tackle.

The missed tackles were extremely irritating and the continued special teams woes along with the missed receivers are frustrating. How about no stupid penalties. We get enough without the blatant ones. No stomping on guys. With the frequency our players step on somebody you'd think it's really hard not too.

Its not going to happen overnight and to have this kind of a season in a new coach's first year is a good first step. If u think they can pull an 06 tigers you are crazy. Give it 3 ywars and we will see how its going then.

They are a mediocre team. That's it. Unless Stafford makes the jump to really be a top QB I have a hard time seeing this team going far in the playoffs within the next few years.

As fun as the SOL discussion is, I actually kind of like the match up with the Cowboys. Assuming Suh isn't suspended or something, I think they'll be able to stop the run reasonably well and put pressure on Romo to win the game. And it seems like Stafford usually plays well against the Cowboys.

This is just dumb. Obviously everyone wants to win a fuckin super bowl and not doing so will be a disappointment- but given the shit we have had to watch for more than 2 decades... To even make the playoffs is a huge improvement and hardly "same shit". Totally disagree. Just being happy to be in the playoffs is like just being happy to see a naked supermodel. Would you settle for a picture when you could get whole package? Same thing with the Lions fans who will be happy for a playoff game when you should demanding a division championship a a first round bye. calm down valenti

7 str8 playoff road loses since the 1991 home playoff win..........mikes gotta point Sure he does. Like they were going to go from perennial laughing stock to Superbowl winner in one year. Everyone wants the to win it all. But most of us realize there are multiple steps normally on that process. Like it or not, this team doesn't make the playoffs very often. They don't sniff 11 wins in a season much either. They've done both in Caldwell's first year. Staffdong is still a concern. He's cut down on the turnovers. But he's still making mistakes that hold this team back. Next year is HUGE for Caldwell and staff. You have to see improvements on offense and see minimal steps back on defense. That could be very hard to accomplish.

I said before that I think that Theo Riddick takes Reggie Bush's job next year. It is a 2 Million cap hit to cut Reggie, but with his salary coming off the books it actually saves 2 Million in cap space.

Flem: I tend to agree that he probably won't go anywhere after next year, but I think that after next year if things don't improve they will start to explore their options.
