@rapsheet: The University of Michigan has reached out to #49ers coach Jim Harbaugh, sources say. U-M left convinced he wanted to be an @nfl coach
Whatever. Move on

I would assume he will be asked a direct question during the post game presser today, it will be interesting if / how he answers it

Hold on guys, this report is from Ian Rapport. He throws more BS out there then the average rumor monger. I have said I do believe Harbaugh will stay, but Rapport didn't get this from Harbaugh. The word is Jim talks to no one except his closest advisers and they don't talk either.

I'm not sure why they're even bothering with him. Stick with a coach that wants to be in the college ranks.

While watching football, I have been surfing for rumors. The wildest one was Sean Payton of the Saints has interest in UofM HC position. I understand reporters have responsibilities and columns to write, but some of the bs has no substance.

As someone mentioned Agents throwing out BS to get contract extensions and raises for their clients. It works more often than it doesn't.

I'd like Mullen, but I don't think they'd go with him because, as insane as it is, they don't want to go back to running any kind of spread. It'll be a pro-style coach, like Schiano or Addazio, and we'll be doing this all over again in 3-4 years.

I can't see hacket making a decision based on offensive formation. I would be surprised if that was even a tiny bit of the consideration.

Now the rumor mill is going to really crank up. Frisco loses to the hapless Raiders 24 to 13. Get ready for crazy rumors and everyone with a computer to say they have a source.

Lots of people seem to be talking about Mullen wanting to get out of MSU while the getting is good.
Also people ask why would such and such leave a great gig like Baylor or TCU given the current states of the programs...see OSU today, if Baylor was Texas, or OSU, that does not happen to them.

Mullen intrigues me. Part of me wants a unknown dude with no ties to the program, but with a track record. I'm curious to see what he could do with a big name program. And after getting the snub this year, he's got something to prove. I like the idea of someone without factions behind them or ties that are going to bitch and complain. Plus he'd be cheaper than hardballs.

More importantly, it won't win the trust of big name recruits. Michigan will officially be in a "show me" recruiting situation now and "trust Me" isn't going to fly after the last 2 debacles. More importantly, the fan base won't give a guy like that enough time to build a program. It will have to be a big name.

agree, they all guessing. He could do anything at this point. Bottom line is Michigan should have an A - B - C plan.
