Damn. Kinda wanted to see the complete game shut out. Gonna be super pissed if the bullpen loses this.

If this is what we can expect from Greene all year, I don't think I'm going to ever miss Porky not being in this rotation.

Can't blame Davis on the pick off. Umps missed a balk. Jack Morris >>>>> Rod Allen. I like Jack with Mario. I do not like Gibby with him. Gibby is boring, he sounds like he's half asleep. I'd rather have Rod with Mario than Gibby. Nice game tonight. That kid was dealing all night, and Soria did a nice job closing up.

Didn't they do a Rod, Mario, Jack game?
I think that combo keeps Rod from talking to much and frustrating Mario.
3 is probably 1 too many but I'd be fine with it.

Gibby is excellent. So is Jack. Rod is hot garbage, but always has been

Loving this improved defense. Igglesias is a beast.Shane Greene is wheeling and dealing tonight. Plays like this are almost routine for him. Awesome stuff.

It's been a great first week+ of the season.
Figured the team defense would be better, but this is better than I expected. Fun to watch.

It's funny thinking about Peralta trying to make the play that Iglesias did.
Shane Greene has been really, really good so far, but I still don't know what to make of him. He's just pounding the strike zone these days, but in the minors his main issue was control. He's not getting as many Ks as he did with the Yankees, but it appears the Tigers have him throwing fewer sliders and a lot more changeups, which may be contributing to quicker outs. I'd give it another 12 starts before we really know what we have here, but he certainly looks like he'll be no worse than a #4 starter.

I didn't think that ball even hit the umpire. Wtf with the long delay switching umpires.

Not sure if it's true, but I saw a stat that the Tigers didn't give up any walks in that 3 game series. Is that possible?

I didn't think that ball even hit the umpire. Wtf with the long delay switching umpires. It hit him. Not sure if there was a concussion/consciousnesses issue, or if it was a dental issue, but that ump was a little jacked up. It took so long, because 85 year old men take that long to get dressed!

Walk stat is true. Bad news on Nathan though, Ausmus article yesterday on M-Live says about Nathan being the close when gets back: "That's the plan," Ausmus said. "We'll see what happens, but that's the plan. The most important thing is to get him back. Our bullpen is stronger with Joe in it." www.mlive.com/tigers/index.ssf/2015/04/joe_nathan_throws_for_first_ti.htmlFingers crossed he isn't back.

At least Soria is giving him no room for error.

Soria has been pretty damn stellar. Quick and efficient. Pitch and leave, no antics/tics/whatever on the mound.

The Chin shouldn't see the field unless the Tigers are winning or losing by more than 5.

Nice bomb by Cespedes.
Any word if the Tigers will make a serious run at retaining him?
