It's a lot different when you have a coach that can take top rated guys and develop them in the college game.

Is it bad that I dont give a fuck about recruiting anymore? Show me on the field or forget about it. No not at all I'm the same way... But I'm feel like I have battered woman syndrome to and I'm afraid to love again

All I care about is recruiting class rankings. Wins/losses are secondary.

Get rid of this coach, cant close any commits, Ha! With that said, I am actually stunned no one has committed to Michigan since he was hired... (besides the "silent" Weber commit)

Why would Weber be silent? Is he waiting for a better offer?

Why would Weber be silent? Is he waiting for a better offer? Probably afraid of OSU fans assaulting him

I don't know if tommy has separate sources, but FWIW, the random Twitter accounts that were talking about a silent commit are literally run by a 14-year-old who subscribes to all the recruiting services, then takes any whiff of info he finds and says things like "I can confirm Michigan has a silent commit." He throws unverifiable shit at the wall, to get Twitter followers I guess, and there are no consequences when he's wrong, because he's not a real journalist. I'm guessing it will still be a little while before we see any commitments, but there's a chance this weekend, with DBs Chris Williamson, Nate Dalton, and Will Lockett, DEs Reuben Jones and Jake Pickard, TE Matt Synder, and FB Reagan Williams all visiting. Here are the latest names on the radar: Name | From | Ht/Wt

What about that kid that was going to Wisconsin that decommitted last weekend because of the admissions policies? Any rumors about Michigan going after him?

I mentioned this kid above as being a tough pull, but his recruitment to Michigan is picking up a ton of steam, and he now appears to be heading for an official visit in Ann Arbor this weekend. He apparently removed "Texas Commit" from his Twitter bio, started following UM coaches, and Texas is bringing in other QBs for official visits now. Name | From | Ht/Wt
| Pos
| Rivals | Scout | 24/7 | ESPN | Notes
| Zach Gentry
| Albuquerque, NM
| 6'6, 230
| QB
| 4* #105
| 4* #278
| 3*
| 4* #118
| Now looks like a possible UM commit
|
ESPN says Offers from Alabama, Oklahoma State, Nebraska, Tennessee, Louisville, and a handful of other schools. I think there would be a lot more, but up to this point he's been very strong in his commitment to Texas. He's a massive kid, but he does seem to have decent mobility. Here he is scoring an 80-yard rushing TD: His Senior highlights are pretty impressive too. The footwork is a little wonky, but all the physical tools are there. It looks like he can throw the ball a mile, and he again shows some surprising athleticism. I wouldn't expect him to start for a few years, but he looks like a really nice prospect.

Interesting....I am sure between Malzone and this kid they are telling them your coming in the same class but not really because one of you is not redshirting.

I heard they were thinking of taking 2 QB's next year, 1 being DeWeaver, but if they get this Gentry kid, I could see DeWeaver being the only QB next year.
