John OKorn, QB from Houston, transfers to UM. Will need to sit out a year. competition Interesting as he was very solid as a true freshman, their coordinator left for TCU and he struggled this year. I would imagine he does not fit Tom Herman's style at all.

I guess there isn't a 48-hour cooling off period for LOIs like there is for other contracts?

No. Can you imagine if there was? The flip flopping would be a circus event.

Michigan fans are having a field day with this, but with the number of NFL vets on the coaching staff, you can probably count on something very similar happening here soon.

I think we'll see top recruits be a lot more cautious about signing LOI's which will probably make the whole recruiting process even more strange.

There's some chatter that the top level kids will stop signing LOIs. I'm not sure how it would work, but they are saying only the top 100 players or so could get away with that. I am assuming because if you are a mid level recruit, the school/coach could tell you to sign or he's giving your scholarship away.

Wayne Lyons (The Stanford DB that may grad transfer here).... his mom was named Michigan's director of player personnel.
Make of that what you will.

The negative recruiting we'll have now for Urb might be worth losing Weber.

Wilcher is thoroughly pissed at the Urb.

The negative recruiting we'll have now for Urb might be worth losing Weber. Yeah, I didn't hear it but Dery said that Thomas Wilcher (head coach at Cass Tech) went on air with him and said he doesn't hold the RB coach accountable, he holds Urban Meyer accountable. He said it starts at the top, and he said that someone from OSU better call him. Also, we've seen before how the Detroit schools will stick together with stuff like this. It happened with UM baskeball recruiting before Beilien got there. Can't remember which coach it was, but the Detroit coaches didn't like him.

I guess an OSU beat writer knew he was leaving and didn't report it. If a Michigan football beat writer knew an assistant was leaving, it would be front page news.

"I think Urban Meyer will have to step his game up; we're going to have to talk," Cass Tech football coach Thomas Wilcher told Detroit Sports 105.1 on Friday. "He has come to my school and got the No. 1 athlete two years in a row.
"You cannot come over here, come up to the north and walk out of here with your pockets full and not give us respect.
"That's not gonna happen again, I can tell you that right now."

If Weber does want to leave, what are his options?

If Weber does want to leave, what are his options? If OSU grants him a release, he can sign anywhere. If not, he has to sit out a year.
