Michigan fans generally don't, and shouldn't care about recruiting right now, but I figure we will as soon as a new coach joins. Maybe I'll do individual posts for each new commit at that point, but for now I'll just make these tables: Name | From | Height/Weight | Position | Rivals | Scout | 24/7 | ESPN | Brian Cole | Saginaw, MI | 6'2, 190 | ATH | 4* (#91) | 4* (#70) | 4* (#39) | 4* (#143) | Tyree Kinnel

| QB

| Grant Newsome

And now, for fun, here's a table of all the players from this class who were once committed to UM, but aren't anymore: Name | From

This is a lost year, its fine, this team actually has a lot of depth and its going to be a small class. We will poach a few late, probably end at 10-12.

have to think that Clark would come back, and possibly Roseboro. Harris still hasn't signed anywhere ( although it sounds like he is looking at bama ).

Supposedly GGG is saying the number one overall recruit a QB is about to join on because Harbaugh
and also the number 3 overall recruit a CB is digging it as well.
All is not lost. This could be sick

Josh Rosen, #1 overall recruit (QB) and verbal commit of UCLA is already considering backing out of UCLA, following Harbaugh to Michigan
There's also some noise that Mora could be approached about the SF and Oakland jobs.

As Caper mentioned, the one recruit I think Michigan has a really good shot of re-landing is Chris Clark. He tweeted a while back that he really hopes Michigan lands Harbaugh. I think they also have a small chance to get Mike Weber back, but I think pretty much everyone else is gone for good. There are a lot of rumors that several highly ranked California kids might come to Michigan now. I buy the increased interest, I suppose, but it's so late in the process and kids are always talking about the relationships they have with coaching staffs. That said, I might as well list the kids who are being talked about: Name

-Jerome Baker was once committed to Florida, where rumored DC D.J. Durkin was his primary recruiter. Don't see him leaving OSU though. - Marcus Lewis was highly interested in Michigan when Hoke was still here, and he's still uncommitted. Durkin recruited that area, so there may still be a shot. - Sheriron Jones is just a shot in the dark, but I figured as a dual-threat Cali QB, he might be interested. - Vince Marrow is the TE coach for Kentucky right now, and I've seen his name suggested as a potential coach at UM. So I just listed all the commits from Ohio he has landed for Kentucky this year. - Jordan Jones has the potential double whammy of committing to Marrow, and being from Durkin's home town. I think we could also see commits from Malzone's teammate (and current Northwester commit) WR Grant Perry, and Oak Park ATH John Kelly, but I imagine there will be dozens of names thrown around in the next 6 weeks.

Composite 4-star RB Elijah Holyfield (son of Evander):
"Gotta go back up to Michigan if Harbaugh takes the job!!!"
Meanwhile, Rivals main analyst says that Josh Rosen told him he is 100% committed to UCLA.

That's fine with Rosen, he was supposed to be an early enrollee anyhow. Hard to change now, since most of his paper work is done, heck, he's probably getting moved in soon.
I think UM is in good shape at QB. There is a ton of talent there, for Harbaugh to work with. In fact, I think it's in better shape than when RR or Hoke took over. Denard and Gardner were good in some things they did (mostly their legs) , but neither will be remembered for their completion percentage, accuracy or a gunslinger.

I bet the get a couple of the decommits back, a couple more late switches, and maybe a flier or two and end up with 12, which is fine and then sign 28 next year.
